I have a pretty strict rule of "do not talk about sleep when it is good". Without fail every time I even make a mention of it, LO goes through a bad sleep spell.
It's like Fight Club. You just don't talk about it.

Yeah, best not to say anything if things are going well. I think this applies to everything. Not just sleep.

Haha yes! I never text DH if they are taking a good nap, because that will end it.

I try and be the same way...it's a curse to talk about good sleep. I used to wait until 2 weeks of consistency to start celebrating! I also have a theory that people who come on here saying that their newborns are great sleepers tend to experience the worst 'regressions.'

I never say anything and I never get my hopes up - even after a week or two, because it's always bound to change (and always does!) I have a 5 month old, I don't expect a good sleep schedule to become a regular routine for at least a year if not longer! I just silently enjoy the sleep when it's good and survive when it's less than ideal!
Perfect example - I was just thinking wow, A has been napping for 2 hours and she immediately wakes up! They totally have a radar!
