@blackbird: I haven't heard of that one - let me know how you like it. I was thinking of getting a Polar one.

I've heard good things of Polar but my coworker said this one was great and I like the iPhone sync option because a watch is cumbersome at Crossfit

I have an oldschool Polar HRM. They have some awesome, more stylish ones now. I like to wear it when I do anything physical that I want to track on MFP.

I have a Polar FT4. I really like it! It's easy to use, and the band isn't uncomfortable like my Garmin band was

@LindsayInNY: Yes, but it's a lot thinner and softer than most! I think @babyboecksmom has the same one as me

I have a Polar one that I wear when I exercise. I have a heart condition so I need to be careful with how high it gets otherwise I end up with chest pains, palpitations, skipped beats, and worst fainting. I tried one that didn't have a chest strap but it was so sensitive I could wear it to work out. It also didn't record and save data.

@PointeShoesTutus: Do you know if any HRM has an option of alerting you if our heart rate goes over a certain limit? I want to get back spinning but I don't think DH (or myself) will be comfortable unless I have one. But the room is dark so I'm worried about how I'll see it?

@LindsayInNY: Yep the Polar will beep if you go over or under the target HR zone. I turned it off, but there is the option.

@LindsayInNY: You'll check it a lot at first (my watch had a light up function) but then you get to a point where you know X BPM feels like, pretty quickly. I follow the "talk test" while pregnant, which is a lot easier

@LindsayInNY: I had the N4...i think it was made by New Balance! Most watches have a button to illuminate the face, tho

@blackbird: Ahh, I'll have to look into things further. I won't be able to hear a watch beep (I typed beer at first - clearly my mind is somewhere else! ) spinning so I'd like the illumination option.
