I can't stop using two spaces after a period even though one is supposed to be standard now. It messes up the spacing in the blog posts, but it's ingrained!

Sorry for yelling. Ha! Typographers changed the rule ages ago (it seems like ages). I work with professors and we constantly have to do a global find and replace to get rid of all their double spaces.
But I'm a stickler for style. We follow the Chicago Manual and AP Stylebook.

I do both. If I'm typing away and I have lots to say... One space. If what I am writing requires a lot of thought like a paper for class or work then I'll go with two spaces.

I'm guilty of being a two spacer too. I tried to change, but it the two spaces were too ingrained.

1 space. I was taught 2 spaces on a typewriter, but 1 space on a computer because computer fonts are automatically formatted for 1 space, but it wasn't this way on typewriters..... I don't really know much about it, but it is faster for me to do 1, so I'll stick with that!

I used to use 2 spaces when I was in school--took up more space when I was writing papers! Now I use one space.. I think? I never paid much attention and now I'm all self conscious... hurmm. I'm gonna look back at old emails and see which I use.

I am a one-spacer. I have never even heard of doing 2 spaces, and do have a University degree, so I would think if it was a formatting norm I would have heard about it as some point.

I've always used two spaces and probably always will. Sometimes, if the formatting is strange in a particular program or with a particular font, I'll edit it to one, but I always have to go back and delete the extra.
I figure everything's fine as long as I'm consistent...

i use 1! never learned the 2. and especially nowadays, where things are justified, the 2 looks bad!

I know when I learned to type using a typewriter they made us use 2 ... but since then I have definitely transitioned to only one!

I used to do 2. My mom was a typing teacher. I followed her rules. After the rules changed, I switched to 1.

Wow, this is one of those moments when I realize how really old I am, lol. Didn't realize that 1 space is now standard so I still use two. I'll probably continue to use two - it just looks better.

I can't stop using 2 even though it makes me feel old. I've tried using 1 but it just feels wrong to me....

I usually use one, but sometimes it's hard to remember. When I'm blogging and not paying a lot of attention, I often use two. When I'm writing an article or proposal I proof read a few times and stick to one. Oh well, I'll get in practice eventually!

Two for sure! Honestly, I think it just looks better with two. Sentences are more separated and easier to distinguish.
