I love living in the Charlotte area! I only wish we had more acreage.

I really, really want to move back to my home state of Maine. I love it there and miss my family a lot. We actually plan to make this move in the next few years. Fingers crossed it works out!!

I would love to be an expat in Europe for a few years through work, I think it'd be an amazing experience!
Most winters I hate where we live, but I wouldn't change it. We love being near our parents and raising DS near where we grew up!

I would love to move back up north where there are actual seasons. But DH and I have built such a wonderful urban family in our current city, it would be very hard to leave. I still daydream about it though. Especially now, when all I really want is to rake a pile of leaves for LO to jump in.

Honestly, I'm happy here in NY. That said, if there was an opportunity for DH to move abroad for his job (probably London or Hong Kong) I would go out the next day and buy packing boxes.

I live in Austin, Texas and it's my favourite affordable city in the US. If money was no object, I'd live in London, Paris or New York.
We're hoping I can transfer to England through my work.

Absolutely... Cost of living is just so high in the Northeast! I'd totally move down south or to the west!

@Rainbow Sprinkles: so is Seattle! I have lots of friends and family there.
I would also love to live in New England if we could afford it. It's so beautiful and old. I lived in NYC for 15 years so I got that one out of my system. I need seasons though. Florida and So Cal are fun for a weekend or something but I grew up in Orange County and always wished we could have more changing seasons.

My husband and I LOVED Australia. We joke about moving there all the time. However, our life is here. We have a business that relies on where we live.

Realistically, I wish we lived in a different house in the same neighbourhood.
Impractically, I want to live on a beach in Hawaii with no job and no worries and no Hurricanes or Tsunami's.

Nope, we love Delaware and are too spoiled by the no-sales-tax to move haha

I can totally see myself living in an adorable wooden house in a leafy suburb, somewhere in the USA (somewhere with proper seasons like some of you described to me, instead of all this drizzle!!). But I wouldn't give up the benefits the UK has to offer - the quality of education, free healthcare, welfare benefits if we fall on hard times - if you paid me so I guess I'm here for the long haul.

Kind of, but it's not really a specific location that I am dreaming of, it's more the beach house kind of life.

I daydream about moving to Europe but that will never happen.
We live about an hour north of Toronto but in the next few years we are trying to move about hour west of Toronto. So we're in the right general region but we went to be much closer to our parents and on the Lakeshore GoTrain line eventually. But... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

I would like to live in our same town but move it two hours north closer to family.

Definitely want to stay where we are. I mean, ideally we'd live in one town over or something because they have better school systems, but the cost of houses and the taxes are ridiculous, so we can't afford it. And I LOVE our house and our location and we're a good distance from all our family and we're right between both our jobs, so we have no intention of ever moving!

@sunny: I knoooow! I go on Zillow about once a month just to look at Seattle homes for fun. I should just live in Seattle and shop in Oregon - best of both worlds, no income tax then no sales tax! Gloomy, dreary weather has always been my favorite so that shouldn't be a problem for me. I also love that sometimes, Seattle snows in winter - so you get all four seasons, but a really really mild version of it! We have seriously considered moving there, but the longer we stay here the more roots we put down and the harder it is to leave.

I am happy where I live during the months of October-May.

I love living in NYC, but I dream of moving back home to London. I love it there and it would be great to be back with family etc. I think we may do this in the future, we just have to figure out DH's work etc.

Nope. I love Southern California for so many reasons {except for the earthquakes}, but primarily because my children are being raised so close to all of their grandparents.

I love Baltimore. We have a hard rep, but it's really an amazing city. However, if money and family weren't a factor, we'd live in Brooklyn. I'd also love to leave the US and live in Europe for a while.
