How old is that information?

My OB wouldn't give me the tdap vaccine because I had a cold this past summer.

Chloe's ped rescheduled vaccines when she was sick, though I don't recall the last time she was vaccinated. 18 months? 24? She's almost three so it's been awhile for us!

Absolutely. Where's the info saying that's outdated, because I certainly haven't heard of it?
I would never, ever, vaccinate a child with a compromised immune system. But my ped would never do it anyway.

@coopsmama: just curious, if they want to vaccinate & the child already is ill, how do they differentiate between an adverse reaction to the vaccine and the illness?

Well, the CDC says children with "minor illnesses" like a cold can be vaccinated (or at least with DTAP, not sure about others) but I can totally see the point of view @travelgirl1 mentioned. If a kid already feels crappy, sticking them with needles won't really be a comfort. But in terms of whether it's bad health wise, as long as a vaccine isn't a live vaccine I'm not really sure why it would make a difference?
