My mom and I say "I love you" almost every day. My dad doesn't say it as often, but does say it.

All the time and often. =) We have a great relationship. My DHs father was not as vocal but just as caring.

All the time when we were young, and just as often now. I don't think we ever end a phone call without a "Love you, Daddy" "Love you too, kid", and I never leave their house without a hug and kiss goodbye. I plan to do this with my kids, it's awesome!

Yeah, even now that I'm married and moved away, my Dad still expects at least a goodnight, I love you text!

my dad was on the gift train too. that's for sure his love language. though he's not good with expressing himself emotionally, he has always said i love you freely. he doesn't say it much to my brothers, but as his baby girl, i hear it often.

My dad always said good night and I love you when I was going to bed as a kid.

my dad says it more than my mom. he is more emotional than she is.

My dad (and mom) always said "goodnight i love you" before we went to bed. Now it's "bye i love you" when we hang up the phone/leave from visiting each other

It's really important to me that the last thing I say to my loved ones before we leave each other is "I love you" - DH and I have passed that on now with each other (and even with our dog - not that he says it back! haha)

i can't recall whether my dad ever said i love you, so i voted no haha. but my memory is really really really bad.

My dad wasn't around much, but I don't remember a time when he didn't say I love you. DH's dad on the other hand, I don't think he was loose with the ILY's, but he DID say it. I'm sure DH will say it to baby all the time, he's a pretty mushy and corny guy, and doesn't care what people think of that.

I'm 30 years old and my father has NEVER told me that he loved me. He's a Korean immigrant - no emotion whatsoever. I *know* he loves me...He just never said it.

Both my parents say "I love you" very rarely. My mom says it's cosmic.

My dad always told me he loved me. He died a number of years ago so I am extra grateful that we were always able to express our emotions. I would give anything for one more ' I love you, pumpkin'.

ALL the time. In fact, he's shortened it to "more" a lot of the time, as in "I love you MORE!" I still call him Daddy, too, and he calls me Naisymedaisy. (We're super-loving and super-silly.) I'm very lucky to have such good parents.

My dad says it to me at the end of every phone conversation or when we leave after we've come to visit. He also says it on important occasions. I grew up with both of my parents telling me they loved me every night. My husband's dad didn't say it much at all. I remember my husband getting a card a few years ago where his father said it and it was a super big deal to everyone.

My dad did say it, especially when I was little, as I got older he said it less & less but still did said it. He BUILT the old school, so I feel very blessed that he is as vocal as he is about it. When he says things like, "Take care" I know that means "I love you". My husband says it everyday, many times a day, to our daughter.
