My daughter recently told me that she only likes about a handful of kids in her class at her school. It breaks my heart that so many of the kids in her class are "bad" kids (to her) and aren't kind to her.

It breaks my heart to think about this! My mom is a preschool teacher and she's seen cliques forming at such young ages. It makes me so worried for the future when my LOs are in school. Right now they only play with each other and like each other 98% of the time.

There will be 7 kids total, starting Monday. She likes everyone but one kid. She says he is mean (and I heard the other kids say the same) He does hit everyone, but they are working on it and it is supposedly getting better.

LO1 (almost 3) has never complained about any kid and says he plays with everyone. There are 12 kids in his class. He is pretty easy going.

I think we have the opposite problem - DD1 thinks everyone is her friend, when in reality, there's only a handful that like her.

At her old school she seemed to like everyone and had a group of 3-4 girls she was really close to. We started a new school in June and when I ask if she played with anyone today or if she has any friends she always says "no." It breaks my heart that I took her away from her good friends but I have hopes that over time she'll develop some friends at the new school.
