I know my husband's phone number, but he does not know mine! Even though I told him I think it's important to know my number, he thinks he will always have access to technology and could look it up in case of emergency. Do you know your SO's phone number and vice versa?

Like cell phone or work phone? Cell, yes! Work, no. It's in my phone though.

So important to know! I have been stuck with a dead battery and needed to use a friend's phone who didn't have DH's number.

@MamaG: Cell number is what I'm referring to. Whatever number you use as your primary phone number.

@Mrs. Microscope: That's the example I gave DH, but he said he would use their phone to sign into his iCloud account and find my number that way.

@Aprild: What if he's borrowing the phone of someone who doesn't have a smart phone? Or heaven forbid he gets into legal trouble, gets arrested (by mistake of course
) and gets his one call. He won't know what number to dial! They certainly won't let him into his cloud. That's an extreme example of course, but I think it's very important to know your SO's number. It's not that hard to memorize a phone number.

of course! i've also had the same cell phone number for going on 15 years, so that would be a little silly if he didn't know mine! maybe if i recently changed mine?
i know many of my friends from HS off the top of my head too since we've never changed our numbers no matter where we have lived in the state or country!

Yes, he knows mine. He didn't used to, but once he forgot his phone when he flew to visit his grandmother for the weekend. His departing flight home was delayed, he missed his connection, and had to stay overnight in Atlanta. There was a terrible storm at home, and like two hours after his flight landed and I hadn't heard anything I started to panic.
He was finally able to send me an email from the hotel computer with his room phone number so we could talk, but I made him memorize my number after that (so if something like that happens again he can call me right away...)

I kinda did and then one day I locked my keys in the car and had to call DH - I stood there for 20 mins trying to think of what it was! I finally called my mom and had her call DH - after that I learned his number!!

I know his but he doesn't know mine. He sort of does but messes up digits. To be fair, his number is super easy and hasn't changed in the 9 years we've been together, and mine is more random and changed a couple years ago. But still, he needs to learn mine!

His is one of like three phone numbers I actually know
I think it's important to have a few numbers memorized in case you need help in an odd circumstance. I have DH's, my parent's house, and my mom's cell memorized. I know he knows mine, because we had our son memorize it.

@kiddosc: Yeah, I know DH's cell, my dad's home phone, my dad's cell, my brother's cell (because it's one digit off from my dad's!), and my best friend's childhood home phone number... that's it!
