LO is 28 months old. He has always hated having his diaper changed, but recently he has a total melt down (not every time but often) and cries that he wants his wet diaper back on. He wants to hold it and he kind of hugs it and cries. What the bleep is this about?! Any suggestions?

LO went through a phase like this around the same age. We just talked about how poop is what your body doesn't need any more, and we made a big deal about saying bye bye to it when we flushed it.

Sorry, but my initial reaction was laughter. So gross, yet such a kid thing to do! DS is 2 and he currently enjoys throwing away his diapers, especially his poopy ones. We'll see if that trend continues, or if he too will love and cherish his soiled diapers.

So far he's ok with getting rid of the poopy ones as long he gets to look at it. ("I wanna see poopy!") yuck!
