They were off by one ounce with my first and three ounces with my second.

The estimations for my wee man were pretty accurate, he was around 7.5lb at 35 weeks and 9lb 12oz when he arrived at 40+5 (I had read that babies put on roughly half a pound a week in the last month of pregnancy).

Estimated a 7 pounder and she was 6'15".
Dd2 they thoight would be around the same size but she came out at 8'10". Despite beig bigger, she was much easier to push out!

@bloved: My Lo's big head was the reason I ended up with a c section after hours of pushing so it was probably a good thing. He measured at the 90th percentile at his one month check up last week.

They had estimated 8lb 2 oz and DS was born at 7lb 15 oz so very close!

I don't know if they gave me an estimate for DD but for DS they said at 38+3 he was 7lbs 8 oz and he was 7lbs 14oz when he was born at 40w exactly.

Never had a scan.

DS: doctor guessed 8-8.5lbs. He was 7lbs 13oz
DD: doctor guessed around 8lbs. She was 7lbs 5oz

For DS they told me around 7.5lbs. He was 7lbs11oz, so pretty close. This one, they told me the same thing. We'll see!

Well the only weight prediction I got was during admission to L&D, and they estimated 7'4. He was 8'12. I've had 5 U/S so far with this one, and they are projecting 7'5, and I have 3 more U/S scheduled. I'm hoping she'll be smaller--E did some damage on the way out--but I'm not holding my breath

At my scan the day before I was induced, the ultrasound tech guessed 8 lbs 4 oz - he was 8 lbs 5 oz the next day. The OB guessed 7 lbs 11 oz, so he was pretty close, too!

Totally off! On the day I was induced they estimated 7lbs 1 oz, and she was 5lbs 13 oz. but she was 19 in tall-- long and skinny

DS1 - at 37 weeks he measured 9lbs 3 oz and two weeks later I had him and he weighed 10lbs 9 oz. So he gained about 1 1/2 pounds in two weeks, which can happen towards the end! They estimated big and he was.

DS2 - they estimated 7lbs 9oz or so. I had him a few hours later and he was 7lbs 2 oz. The tech noted it was likely off because of low fluid which makes it harder to get good measurements.

The day after my due date I had an ultrasound that estimated 7.5 lbs. DS was born at 40w4d at 7 lbs 1 oz. I thought that was pretty close, although I've just recently leaned how inaccurate ultrasound estimations can be.

i had weekly ultasounds towards the end of my third trimester and the doctor was always estimating 7 and a bit pounds. The last ultrasound, it was a different nurse as the doctor was not available and she said my baby was already over 8 pounds! He was born at 7 lbs, 7 oz, so the doctor was right all along. The nurse freaked me out though,

Dd1 was estimated to be 7.12 and she was 7.13.

I don't remember how big they estimated dd2 would be, but she was 8.9!

They are saying this one will be close to 9 lbs.

We were told she was 4lb a week before she was born. She came out 5lb7oz. You should have a poll!

LO had been measuring small all along, to the point where they consistently questioned her conception date (we were VERY sure!). However, on my due date, the ultrasound tech estimated 8 to 8.5 lbs...LO was born two days later at 6lbs 2oz! I was induced right after that ultrasound bc of low fluid, which I have since found out can lead to inaccurate estimates of size.

Mine was estimated 8lb 8oz four days after his due date, which was a week before he was ultimately born. He was 8lb 13oz at birth. So, it was probably pretty accurate at the time!

Now he's an off-the-charts 32lb 18mo. As he likes to say, he's HUUUUUUUGE!!!

DD was only estimated at 33 weeks to be 5lbs, born at 36w at 6.4lbs. DS was estimated at 9.5lbs 3 days before delivery at 40w. He was 9.8lbs. I found it easier to push out the bigger baby!

Um, mine was way off. Char was estimated to be 7 lbs, she weighed 8 lb, 13 oz.

Harry was estimated to be about 8 lb, and he was 10 lb 12 oz.
