Doing the horizontal mambo when you were younger?
I've heard my parents, but never walked in on them--thank God.
Have your kids ever walked in on you?

NO! and i'm glad i never even heard them. i think i would have been traumatized! haha. there's no way i'd let my kids ever walk in on us. the door will be LOCKED!

When I was 4-5 years old, I walked in on them. At the time, I had no idea what it was that they were doing but when I got older, I had remembered the incident and I knew. Then, I walked in on them again when I was 11-12years old and I was traumatized, for real.

my eyes! my eyes!
yes, i was 9. ugh. looking back, it cracks me up that my friends made comments like, "at least they're still doing it!". um, we were in 4th grade. so worldly.

No, never even heard them so I really wonder if they ever did it. I am an only child! Lol.
GOLD / pomelo / 5167 posts
hahah yes! but its wasn't both my parents (seeing they are separated) but I caught my mom when i was 7 and when i was about 14 i told my mom she made too much noise I couldn't sleep. She wanted to curl up and die! ha

Never walked in on them, but definitely heard them. Ugh. And yes, our LO has walked in on us, lol. Thank goodness he's still young enough to have already forgotten it!

haha, like others, I never walked in on them, but I've heard them before, haha. It actually didn't traumatize me though! I actually remember feeling good about it. I must have been old enough to really know what was happening. I remember thinking how good it was that my parents were still in love and getting busy together, haha.

YES. At the time I was too young to know what was happening but later on I totally got it. It was the middle of the night and I was going to the bathroom. Their door was open. Shudder.

Nope. My dad was significantly older than my mom and from veiled comments it really didn't happen often, especially the last 10 years or so. I did see my dad nude once. That was awkward, but I don't think he ever knew.

I never walked in on my parents, but i heard them before. Jovani is too little right now, but hopefully he never does.

Once when I was like 5. They were fully clothed having a quickie. Ugh! I used to hear them all the time in hs and seriously considered telling them to quiet down. Lol.
persimmon / 1194 posts
I did. Fortunately I was too young to understand what was going on. Phew.

Never. Thank goodness. I heard my mom's roommates once.
It was so embarrassing!
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
Ugh. I did when I was around 8 or 9. I knew exactly what was going on and ran out of the house and literally prayed to God "I know you can't turn back time, but please please let them never bring it up". And they never did.
There will always be a lock on my bedroom door!

@chopsuey119: I was going to start a thread on this, but found your old one so am bumping it!

When I came home one night in high school I used to always have to open the bedroom door and say I was home, one night when I tried it was locked, the TV was still on in the living room, and it didn't take me long to figure out waht was going on. I ran upstairs and tried to forget about it.

I remember walking down the stairs when I was 3 or so, and seeing my parents in front of the fireplace. They don't remember it so I guess I just went back upstairs. I heard them plenty growing up that is for sure.

Never walked in on them, but I was helping my mom clean the house and she had me help her pull her bed out from the wall because she said the headboard was ruining the wall banging into it. Gag.

In my house growing up my parents room was right above the study, so I could always hear them getting nasty while I was trying to chat with my friends on AIM. Even music couldn't drown them out.

No, but when I was a teenager I found their toy + little blue pill stash. They kept it all in a medicine chest that was pretty much exactly like the regular medicine chest and stupidly kept them both under the sink in their bathroom and didn't keep their private one locked. I went in looking for Sudafed one day and opened the wrong box...
*Shudders*

Nope! Never saw OR heard. I am VERY thankful for that!!
So far we haven't had any walk ins. I have no idea if they've heard us. God I hope not. I hope we never have this issue. We'll be locking the door always!
nectarine / 2765 posts
Thankfully, no. The thought alone makes me shudder. DH & I will be locking the doors, fo sho. May also soundproof the room.
pineapple / 12802 posts
@LMOG47: haha I wonder how easy soundproofing a master bedroom is..... *ponders*

OMG. Never walked in on them, but they also weren't super subtle. Once on a trip with just my parents, me, and my little sister, I was probably....14-15 and my little sister was 8, we got to the hotel, and my dad gave me a 20 and said I should take my sister and walk to a convenience store that he claimed he saw right next to the hotel to get snacks, and then we'd all watch a movie.
The convenience store was QUITE a walk, and my parents were anti-junkfood, so I thought it was weird, but I wanted candy, so we went. When we got back, they were BOTH in the shower for a Loooooonggggg time.
YUCKKK. My sister and I just turned on the TV and I pretended to not be totally weirded out when they came out of the bathroom like, 30 minutes later.
And then even worse, once I discovered CROTCHLESS PANTIES in my mom's drawer when I wanted to borrow some tights from her. WTF?! Who even wears those in real life? :barf:
It's no wonder they had six of us.

Ughhhhh luckily I never walked in on them but I heard them a couple of times and I was always pretty weirdes out.

Never thank god! We have been walked in on by DS luckily he was small enough that he won't remember.
kiwi / 673 posts
Never heard or walked in on, thankfully. It sounds like locking one's bedroom door is a good idea, though.
pineapple / 12234 posts
@Anagram: your stories made me LOL!
Unfortunately, yes. I was 8 and walked into their bedroom to get to the master bath since I needed to take a shower...I turned right around and I didn't talk to either of them that day. Gross.
pomegranate / 3809 posts
Nope. I've never walked in on them or heard them, but I have 3 siblings so they must have been keeping busy!
pomegranate / 3716 posts
Never walked in on them or even heard them... but I used to have to collect all the trash around the house for garbage day, and was always grossed out finding used condoms in their trash. Ick!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
This is cracking me up!!
This is the exact reason my parents have a LOCK on their door!!! Ugh... I def plan to keep our door locked too!
And no- never walked in and never heard them.
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6581 posts
lol no...I don't think there was much going on in that area, honestly. They rarely even kissed in front of us. It's a bit sad! DH's parents, on the other hand, would turn up their stereo real loud and send DH to his bedroom to watch tv LOL...
