We've been through this before but I'd like to hear where you are buying your kids clothes these days. And do you purchase online? In the mall? In a solo store?

For my boys, I buy a lot of Gap and some old navy and Carters. They are getting to the point where most of the time they just want to wear gym type clothes anyway. I'll pick up items like that at sams.
For my daughter, I buy Gap, Old Navy, and target mainly. I also like boutique stores for special occasions - feltman brothers dresses, etc. She's only one.

Gap online
I am loving cat & jack for girls these days! Our old navy has a terrible selection, but I do like ON.
I mainly shop online!

99.9% online!
Often Gap, Target (Cat & Jack), Carters, Macys, and H&M ... Occasionally Nordstrom, Hanna Anderson, and Janie & Jack.
My DS is a tall and chunky 18 month old.
What about you?

My favorite is Cat & Jack from Target - I mostly shop in store.
I also like Old Navy and I do that exclusively online.

My favorites are CottonOn Kids, Zara Kids, Target (Cat & Jack or Genuine Kids), and Old Navy.
cantaloupe / 6131 posts
Jumping Beans brand from Kohl's has really stepped up their game lately and I can get cute mix and match cotton separates for my boys for really cheap stacking coupons. I also usually get my Burt's Bees things (tshirts or PJs) from there. Online.
I also like Cat and Jack or OshKosh from Target. In store usually.
I also like PJs and sleep sacks and underwear and socks from Vaenait Baby (eBay store).
I usually grab cheap Carter's sets and swim from Costco.
I do Old Navy and Children's Place when I need a button down or slacks or some cheap sandals/knock off Natives.
Stride Rite for shoes online or I stock up during the Nordies sale.

Online!
Mostly ON, Carters, Cat & Jack & Gap.
More occasionally Hanna Andersson (I go to the outlet in person), Janie & Jack (love for family photos), and Mini Boden
I also have a consignment shop where I sell random clothes I won't keep for a second and buy random things with the credit.

I got a ton of hand-me downs for the first two years, so I buy pieces here and there to fill in the gaps. I buy mainly from Target (in store) and Carters (in store and online). I've also bought quite a few used Hanna Andersson play dresses and leggings off Ebay, but couldn't swing the price for new HA.

For my almost one year old son - mostly Gap, Boden, some Tea. Personally, I think baby Gap has the cutest clothes!
For my 5 year old daughter - mostly Tea ;), then Boden, and then a mix of other brands like Alice and Ames, well dressed wolf, and Hanna (mostly for sleepwear).

I have a big mix. When I stock up for each season I like to go in person. It's been a little more complicated since having two kids because I like ON and Gymboree for DS and I like Carters for DD. Going to three stores in person can be kind of a lot though when you're not on maternity leave with tons of time to spare.
I do occasionally buy ON stuff online, and I love eBay for Janie and Jack stuff for DD.
Every time DH goes to Target by himself he comes back with clothes for the kids, especially DD, lol. He's a sucker for cute dresses.

Goodwill in a very wealthy area (the one silver lining of having a really long commute is I pass through). DD has a closet chock full of perfect condition boden, tea, hanna, Janie and Jack and jojo maman bebe for about $3/piece.
Otherwise I am a big fan of target - their leggings and tshirts are fantastic. I also love the tshirt selection in osh kosh.
I am a fan of older style Gymboree, so will pick that up used. Less so their modern stuff but I still grab pieces from time to time. I also love gap jeans and tend to grab them used.
ETA: DD is almost 3.

Almost all online.
Depending what I'm looking for and sales, I think it's mostly Target (sometimes in store for this one, also really like Cat and Jack), old navy and sometimes gap, children's place so cheap basics and frilly special occasion dresses my 3.5 year old loves, Gymboree. We have a ton of Carter's as well, but I find myself annoyed trying to figure out their sales and not getting ripped off!
I have two girls, 3.5 and 1.5 (who gets mostly hand me downs from big sis)

Almost always online. Mostly Gap and Old Navy. Also a Zara Kids just opened in our local mall so I've been getting some stuff there, it's nice to have some new options!
Basically right now I'm shopping anywhere they sell superhero clothes, because that's all B will wear. Poor Dubs only gets hand-me-downs so I hope he also goes through a 2T superhero phase.

Mostly online. Two most frequent are Nordstrom Rack, Old navy and a little bit of Gap.
I will do some J Crew kids when it's on clearance and buy for the next season. So in the fall/winter I got him a few summer pieces in the next size. Mostly swim trunks with some shorts and t shirts.
Special occasion I like Janie & Jack. But I have one a couple blocks away so I do that in person.

I pretty much only buy from Target (in-store) and Old Navy (online). DD flys through sizes so quickly so I'm not willing to spend money on more expensive clothes.

Tea (online) for dresses, Target for leggings and t-shirts, and Gymboree. Occasionally H&M and Zara.

Consignment sales - to fill in gaps and add a few extra outfits
Target
online at Old Navy-I usually do one big order every season
persimmon / 1380 posts
I try to mostly shop consignment, but also cat & jack and A LOT of Carter's. I don't love all of Carter's styles but my guy is a skinny (24 months but still wears 12 month shorts) and I feel like Carter's is slimmer cut. ON and Gap tend to run wide for us.
If anyone has recommendations for slim toddler boys, I would appreciate it!

95% online. I'll do Amazon or Carters. Twice a year I'll do a Walmart run in person. But my 16 month old is in 3T pajamas and 2 t other clothes. I'm not looking for quality because he will outgrow them so quickly
persimmon / 1111 posts
@LadyDi: this is my kid. I've had good luck with Walmart basics. I mostly stick with Carters, but Walmart works well for usfor daycare clothes
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
I do a mix of online and in person.
For my son's pants, I need to go in person because he has to try them on. Things are getting more expensive now and I can't be bothered with the whole order/try on/return cycle. I get those at Gymboree, typically online once I have figured out the size and then just watch for sales. They have these great pants, the Gymster, which have an elastic waist and are lined with jersey so they're super soft and warm.
Shoes I buy online as well, typically zappos but sometimes amazon.

I had a 3 year old (DD) so I LOVE shopping for girl clothes My 6.5mo old who is in 9mo clothes I think I've only spent ~$50 so far as I get lots of hand me downs from a good friend (with 2 boys ages 1 and 3).
Really love Carters for baby stuff but not as much once they get to be over 2. Osh Kosh, Gap, Old Navy, Target (Cat and Jack and their Osh Kosh), Hanna, Tea, Boden (though I don't many as they're pricier but I still love them). Not really willing to spend as much $ on the younger ages, but once you hit about 3T I'm willing. Really need to find some time to hit up the Goodwill in the super rich area of town but it's hard to find any time. Hence, I do almost 100% online shopping except at Target.
apricot / 286 posts
We mostly do Baby Gap, Peek, Tea and OshKosh. Old Navy too but their stuff doesn't tend to last as long.
cantaloupe / 6171 posts
I mostly buy from gap and old navy online, but mil buys a lot of clothes for lo1 as well from Nordstrom --mostly tucker and Tate, peek, tea, and mini Boden.

I shop mainly at Target and Old Navy for my 2-yr-old DD. But, I LOVE Zara and Gap online.

Usually online and usually Cat & Jack from Target. When he was an infant, most of his stuff was Carter's.

Gap, Target (Cat and Jack), Old Navy, Mini Boden, H&M, Hanna Andersson, Janie and Jack, Nordstrom. Sometimes Zulily - but that's usually hit or miss!

I mostly shop online. I use points to buy from Gap and Old Navy. I also buy from Carters, Target, and Kohls. Occasionally I'll buy from Gymboree. Macy's has a First Impressions brand that I love for infant sizes. I love Tea Collection but can never really justify spending that much money.
cantaloupe / 6146 posts
@mediagirl: almost exclusively Carter's for their door busters, and Once Upon a Child to fill in the gaps. But the majority of my kids' clothes is bought by the grandmas, so I only do this if they are missing something or grandma picked out something particularly horrible that I need to get rid of.
That and my son "requires" a dinosaur t shirt that fits at all times, for the last 3 years. :o
I have occasionally bought at Target (I can think of one thing for the baby that fits now, but maybe a few newborn things), and sometimes the grocery store has stuff on sale and I get suckered into it.
I generally buy things in person.
