Honestly I still reach for my RS most of all. I am just not comfortable with my wrap yet! The RS is so fast...I'm trying, though

I love my wrap, but I still use my Mei tai or ring slings for errands, because it is so much quicker to get her up and I don't have to worry about my tails in a parking lot. That being said, my wrap is still my favorite carrier. I can distribute the weight much better and it is much more comfortable for walks and chores around the house.

How often do you use your wrap? When do you use it?
Um, basically every day. I use it when cooking or doing laundry or anything around the house where I don't want LO getting into trouble. I wear her when she's sick or needs to take a nap when we're in public. I wear her in grocery stores and airports, etc.

Is it your favorite carrier? Why?
Yes. For sure. Because it's the most versatile and the most comfortable. I can carry her on my front, my back, my hip. I can nurse in it, she can nap in it, I can do through airport security with it since there are no metal pieces...

How long does it take you to get LO situated in the wrap in public?
Depends on the carry. I usually do a hip carry when I'm grocery shopping and I can do it while we're walking from the car to the store, under a minute. I still take a bit longer with more complicated carries but it's really not that long.

@Mae: @Boheme: following too! give us some tips! LO is 16 mo old and I used to use a Ktan when he was small but that def doesn't work anymore. I really want to get a wrap to wear him on my back around the house because is loves being held but he is almost 30 lbs!

Is it your favorite carrier? Why? Gosh yes. I have several in different sizes, and they are so comfortable.

How long does it take you to get LO situated in the wrap in public? Less than a minute.

@Boheme: @Arden: When baby gets restless in there or wants to nurse, or just wants to stretch out in some space for a while... are you able to get the wrap re-situated one-handed to put baby back in afterward? Or do you have unwrap the whole thing and put baby down to redo the wrap?

I never even tried a woven wrap. I have always had back issues, and I had a big baby. He was 8lbs 13oz when he was born, and now at seven months old he weighs more than 21lbs. So, I stick with my soft structured carrier that puts weight on my hips as much as possible, and I usually encourage my husband to use it so that I don't have to!

I need to find the wrapping thread...need tips on back carries! LO is a squirm monster sometimes.

@anandam: Nope! You can just loosen it. I can send you a video tutorial. Front cross carry in particular is fantastic for Breastfeeding and then re-adjusting. You can also pre-tie it, so if you want to wear baby at the grocery store or something, you can tie it before you leave the house and just pop baby in when you arrive!

@Cole: I'd wait! If you find a 7 is too much, there are some tricks you can do with the hanging tails before you decide whether to chop.

@Mae: He did when he was teeny tiny, but now that he's bigger if I'm going to wrap him at home I have to put him in a hip carry or a super high back carry so that he can see everything he wants to see.

@Boheme: can you send the tutorial to me, too, please?

@LovelyPlum: When you get to be an experienced wrapper, I recommend high back carries. Prior to that, hip carries like Robins hip carry, Poppins hip carry, or the Coolest Hip Carry are really good.

my favorite wraps hands down are my Pavo Gothams and my Silver Lining Slings Ashtons in the middle range. Those are on the bottom 2 shelves pictured here-- I have 3 Gothams and 2 Ashtons LOL

Artipoppe Barbie Dots is my favorite HE brand- it's not pictured here but google it... so fabulous

Favorite Front Carry is a basic Front Wrap Cross Carry
Favorite Back Carry is reinforced ruck with a knotless finish.

Situated? Depends on her mood. I can ruck in 3-5 minutes if that, FWCC is about the same!
