Can anyone recommend a good lunch bag for work? I'm starting a new career in the fall and I will need to bring my lunch daily. I'm looking for something that will keep cold the longest and have room for keeping a breakfast snack in there too, so something larger? Any recommendations on good brands or types?

I don't know about how long it keeps things cold (or if it even really does), but I have those Built neoprene lunch bags. They're great for my use, and roomy/stretchy in case you're trying to fit in odd shapes.

@mrschickpea: DH and I both use the Thermos Raya 9-can capacity tote. (He has a plain black one). We use it for our lunches (and we often take 2-3 meals and snacks plus drinks in it) and its fabulous for all the kid's snacks and drinks when we go out to restaurants.

I ordered an insulated lunch tote from PackIt - you put it in the freezer overnight and then I keep the tote at my cube during the day and it's still pretty cold.

I have a really simple one, I like the ones that have really wide openings and can be used either vertically or horizontally.
I can pack the food for my day in it, but I don't keep anything cold. I usually bring a container of fruit and a sandwich, sometimes leftovers. I think it matters more what you're bringing, try to figure that out and then get a lunch tote that you can use to accommodate them.

I have a neoprene one and I love the flexibility and the fact that its machine washable but it doesn't hold temperature particularly well, I have access to a full sized fridge for my lunch so its not super important to me.

I have this SoYoung small cooler bag (https://ca.soyoung.ca/collections/small-cooler-bags/products/pre-sale-raw-linen-blue-bicycle-small-cooler-bag) which I LOVE - it loads vertically, it's exactly the size of the Tupperware set I have, and it's cute. Depending on how much lunch you want to take you might want the larger size.
