Anyone have HFM as an adult? I think I might have it. No fever or rash but sores in my mouth (on my tongue). DD had something going on last week that we thought we're 2 year old molars but at her annual exam on Saturday, the doctor didn't see any poking through. Daycare said she was irritable, moody. No fever or rash for her either though. Could it be?

Yes, I've had and and so did DH. We caught it from DD. It was awful. No sores in mouth but I had red bumps all over hands and feet.

I caught it from DD last summer and had it way worse than her. I also had no mouth sores but my hands and feet were covered. Hope it turns out to be something else for you!

I had it last school year. I got it from a student and gave it to our baby. He has irritable and had sores but not horrible. I was miserable. I had sores in my throat and a fever.

Yes I had it. Wicked sore throat and sores on hands and feet that lasted weeks. Lots of cold drinks, milkshakes and whatnot for a week, plus Advil. The worst was having to explain the blisters on my hands to clients back at work for weeks later

I caught it from my son, but we were both lucky and didn't get sores in our mouth. He had them all over his hands, feet, arms, face, etc. I had them on my arms and legs, had a fever, and threw up from it. We both ended up peeling on our finger tips and toes from it and it lasted for months.

I had it, but neither my son or I had sores in our mouth - just got the blisters all over our hands and feet. It sucks to have it!

Update - apparently I just have inflamed taste buds. Something with a fancy P word. I don't know how it happened since I haven't had spicy or burned my mouth or anything...

Our whole family got it last December. It was super mild for DD, barely noticeable for me, but MURDER for DH. He could barely talk or eat for weeks.

My husband got it from my son last year. He said it was the worst thing he ever got...

I haven't had it, but worked in a daycare where a bunch of kids got it and three workers so I was lucky. The adults said it was really awful.

@LindsayInNY: I'm so glad you don't have HFM. My mom got it from my niece and she said it was worse than shingles. Her finger nails fell off!
