This is kind of embarrassing, but here goes. My husband and I were intimate on day 13 of my cycle (lots of EWCM), but we used a condom. Afterwards we were fooling around (without a condom-foolishly) but didn't actually "finish". Do you think there may have been some sneaky little swimmers hanging around? I'm still breast-feeding my toddler round the clock. This is my first cycle post IUD removal, so I have no ideal how long my luteal phase might be either. I think my risk of pregnancy is pretty low, but possible? I'm 4dpo now, so I guess we'll see in a week or so!

If he had ejaculated right before and then he was inside you again, then yeah it could happen, but it still seems pretty unlikely.

I got pregnant via FET. DH wasn't even in the room, so yeah.

i wouldn't worry too much either :). but that said, I am currently pregnant with a surprise #3 from a pull and pray ;). so I guess to answer the original question, "yes?!". hehe.

@tysonja: Yikes, that makes me nervous. We exclusively PnP right now (and I'm nursing - but have had my period come back) and DH has excellent timing and we've never had a scare but still...eeek! Was your pregnancy a timing issue or truly a big surprise??

@coopsmama: well, surprise in the sense that we 100% were not trying nor expecting it to happen, but not a surprise in the sense that we definitely knew we wanted a 3rd in the next year or two -- was planning on later on in the year though, not so early!

@coopsmama: I'm still nursing too. And total surprise. We were done, but obviously knew PNP was not a 100% method of BC.

@anbanan15: Your husband always pulls out too?! Yikes! This is making me rethink, ladies. We definitely want more kids eventually (have two now) but are wanting to go on a vacation just the two of us before having another so now wondering if we should be even more careful. We've been doing PnP now for 5 months since my cycle came back PP with no issues. Hmmmm

he was sure he pulled 'on time' -- I assume it still leaks and whatnot beforehand :). we only were ok with using PNP because we knew 100% that we'd be ok if there was a surprise... which there was! ha! -

@coopsmama: As an alternative perspective, we've using withdrawal for five years with no problems, and got pregnant the first month we actually tried, so it seems to work for us!

@coopsmama: I wasn't doing it correctly. LO was 9 mo and I pumped at work and he had started solids. I thought it was fine because he was nursing 7-8 times a day and hadn't gotten my period yet.
