I have. Three times. Last night I guess I left the freezer door ajar, which someone else had done previously. And I lost a huge amount a few months ago to discovering that LO has MSPI. Sometimes, I am not sure why I even bother with trying to build one!

OMG!!!! I am so sorry!!!! What a huge blow to lose your freezer stash, especially multiple times!

Yes. A week or so before I went back to work I found out I had thrush (LO was asymptomatic). So it all had to go. After that, I never had more than a few ounces in the freezer. I just supplemented when I needed to.

I would die. I have a huge paranoia that we'll lose power and I'll be on vacation and lose my stash! I have probably 150 oz in there!

Yes, three times! The first two were due to thrush, and the last time was due to me being sick and having to take medication that was class C. Now I only have enough to get through two-three work days. I don't know if I'm going to try to build a stash with the next baby. It was so stressful.

Oh man I'm so sorry that happened!! I haven't lost my stash but I would be pretty devastated. I have about 300oz!

Ugh sorry! I lost a huge stash when we left the freezer door open when we went on vacation. but lo was refusing bottles at that point, I was almost fully done with nursing and I was only going to donate it so it wasn't devastating.

I have never lost my stash but I would be devastated! I did EP for DS 1. I cried when I spilled a couple bottles of breast milk tho. I know it can be hard to build up that stash. Big hugs momma.

Yep,I just gave away 105 oz due to a dairy intolerance. I'm sorry, it is frustrating

I lost a small stash once to a freezer malfunction and then voluntarily gave away a huge amount when I found out Lo was MSPI-- it was almost 1000 oz total. I was pretty bummed because I'd wanted to quit early and just feed LO frozen.

@LovelyPlum: Freezing deactivates yeast, but it doesn't kill it. So stored/frozen milk could be a source of reinfection.

So sorry, our fridge freezer at our old apartment stopped working but our landlord let us use his deep freezer until it was fixed!
