This is going to be long...My daughter has us all stumped. She will hold her pee all day long and it doesnt even seem to phase her. we're talking 6-7-8 hours at a time. I'm extremely worried she going to get an infection but at the same time I need to get her potty trained for reasons i'll explain below. I have a feeling this is all mental but we've hit a road block in getting her to understand how to release.

Back story: Nov 2015 she was 26 months and showed all the potty readiness signs but daycare wasnt on board bc the classroom she was in didnt have a potty and they werent able to move her up. We attempted the OCPT over 3 day thanksgiving weekend. She refused to sit on the potty and on the 2nd day was holding her pee 8-12 and 3:30-6:30. and we gave up.

In May she moved to the "potty training classroom" in June we moved in with my parents, turned her carseat, and put her in a big bed. In july we paci weaned and moved again. Oh and did i mention i'm also pregnant... 20 weeks as of Sunday. A few weeks ago (right after we moved the 2nd time) Her wonderful, amazing daycare teacher approached me that they were ready to start potty training her, they felt she was ready even though she was completely resistant at home. First week was ok, a couple accidents, a couple successes they even had a poop in the potty. weekend comes and will not potty or wear panties for me at all. 2nd week at daycare and she starts holding for hours and hours. waiting for her nap pull up, by wed both me and teacher are concerned and think maybe we need to back off.

On thursday, I am approached by the schools director. They want to move her up to the next class room on sept 6th with her best friend. Mentally she's ready to be moved the only thing holding them back is the potty training. I explained how busy and difficult this summer has been with all the changes. However if we dont move her now they dont know how soon there will be another opening to move her up. Our new school district's cut off for kindergarten is 10/1 so she will start K at 4 almost 5. and for her to do pre-K at our daycare next sept. she needs to be moved into the next classroom this year. Additionally I will be pulling her out of school for 3 months while i'm on Mat leave Jan-Apr. So those are my reasons for needing to get this done. Luckily I spoke with her teacher and she is also moving to the next room, however she's potty trained her 5 kids plus 100's of daycare kids and is stumped by my daughter.

This past weekend, her and I made some progress in that I got her to wear panties and actually sit on the potty but she had a few accidents and we made it to the potty once. She's holding her pee for so many hours and can't figure out how to release. She will sit on the potty and knows she has to go but sometimes 15-20 min sitting and she tells me "it wont come out" or "mommy help me make the pee pee come out" we've been forcing fluids on her and she will wait until she physically cant hold it anymore and have an accident. I just need her to have that breakthrough....
