If I'm dealing with something stressful at work, it can be hard for me sometimes to suddenly switch gears to focusing on the kids and being happy around them. But then I see the kids and they jump into my arms, and my heart grows three sizes and it all becomes easy!

If they're not excited to see me though, it's a lot tougher... especially if they don't want to leave wherever they are (preschool, afterschool program). Then I have to take a deep breath, and find my happy place.

How do you shift your focus/mood to the kids after getting off work?
