This is my first time wearing DD. She's 6 weeks today and can lift her head pretty well. Still wobbly though. I couldn't figure out the pouch/kangaroo hold, but I was able to get this one pretty easy. She fell asleep pretty fast. I am not sure if her legs are ok. Care to chime in?

I think the pouch/kangaroo hold is really hard on average size babies, unless they particularly like being squished up - DD2 didn't like being in the K'tan when she was a few weeks old (right around 6 lbs at that point), but I carried DD3, who was around 4.5 lbs, from birth (a few weeks early) until she was 3 or 4 months old - I think it just worked b/c she was smaller and younger.

She can be higher; her head should be close enough to kiss and I think her being higher will keep you more comfy too! Her legs look good; when they're so small I know sometimes it's hard to get them "even" exactly.

Tagging onto what @snowjewelz: said about DD looking a little low....when I first tried a k'tan (as opposed to an Ergo or Bjorn) I was surprised to find that I needed to wash mine every week or two b/c it stretched out. When DD starts to feel low, it's time to wash it to shrink it back up again (at least in my experience).

It looks like it might be a little big. Is it tight when you put it on? She looks to low to me.

looks great! i love my k'tan. super simple. my lo preferred the feet out position too. you can try pulling the small loop at your back and shifting him up at the same time to help lift him higher. but honestly, as long as you can lean down to kiss the top of his head, you're fine. you might just be a little comfier for long wears if he's a little higher.
