I'm 4 weeks PP after a RCS. I am itching to DTD badly! We are going out of town with friends next weekend (I'll be a little over 5 weeks PP) and I would love to drink, have fun and maybe have sex. I keep wondering if one week (not even, 4 days) makes that big of a deal.
When did you DTD? With our first it was 11 weeks. I can't believe I feel good enough to want to sooner this time!

After our first, we waited 6 weeks until after my 6 week postpartum appointment. After our second, it was more like 12 weeks!

6 weeks. I felt ready sooner, but wanted to err on the side of caution after a bad tear and stitches, so I waiting until after my 6 week appointment. Next time, I'll probably just have sex when I feel ready, I trust myself to know what my body can handle.

Both times the midwives just said that I needed to be done bleeding - including spotting.
First time I had stitches and they were there until 4ish weeks so we didn't DTD until 5 weeks.
Second time was less than 2 weeks. No stitches and bleeding was done by then.

@ladybee: nope but I did have stitches both times, I felt fine the 2nd time around so I figured I'd just go for it.

My poor husband. I made him wait until 16 weeks. We actually tried at 11 weeks but I was still so uncomfortable we didn't get very far.

Five weeks after my first two (c-sections).
Seven weeks and nada this time around. We've had sick kids for weeks and I'm only just feeling into it. Maybe DH will finally get lucky this weekend.

About 8 weeks. At my 6 week postpartum appointment, my midwife said my stitches still needed a little extra time to heal.

We waited 10 weeks after DD. I could have waited longer, burnt husband was pretty eager and I was missing that connection with him.

I think I was almost 5 weeks PP. I know it was before my 6 week check up by about a week. It wasn't great, but didn't hurt that bad.

Well, first time I think was right after my 6 week appointment and it hurt tremendously. THis time I am at 8 weeks and nada. We literally haven't had time! He is with DS1 until 10pm when he finally falls asleep and I am with the baby. We are exhausted, had the flu and 2 colds.... yeah, nothing sexy happening here at all.

my brain is exploding reading all this. DS is my first so I have nothing to compare it to!
My stitches got infected and then didn't heal well. At 14w pp my doctor said I still wasn't fully healed and I could have sex but she wouldn't exactly recommend it. And OMG sex hurt so badly, for months and months. I even discussed it with my doctor at my annual exam - when DS was 13 months old! It finally stopped being super painful sometime between 14-17 months -- I don't know when, but sex is finally enjoyable again!

@MrsLonghorn: I had some granulated scar tissue and they advised us at 6 weeks to wait another two weeks to allow it to heal, but we waited longer.

With my first, we waited about 3-4 months postpartum. With my second, right at the 6 weeks appointment, we had sex. I healed a lot better the second time around versus the first.

We waited until 4.5 months. I had stitches, one tore, and one didn't dissolve properly and irritated the skin around it, which resulted in a skin tag forming right at the vaginal opening. It eventually went away, but for awhile it looked like my OB was going to have to remove snip it or cauterize it. Ouch! It was probably 8 months before I really started to get my libido back, however.

Around 5 weeks both times. I healed pretty quickly but we definitely went really slow for a while!

At least 12 weeks both times, the first time I barely felt human by then. I wasn't risking it until that IUD was in order the second time around.

4 months the first time and 4.5 months the second time, even though I healed relatively quickly....my sex drive was so low while BFing!
