six weeks after my first
2 weeks after my second (both vaginal deliveries)
four? five? days after my third (c-section).

My bits were probably adequately healed within 7 or 8 weeks. However, I was so tired from our refluxy, colicy baby that we didn't have sex for several months. I could not imagine spending time/energy on something recreational when I could be sleeping our showering.

We waited 6-7 weeks both times. Honestly physically I was ready before then (especially the second time, I was probably physically ready by 4 weeks) but I was really tired and not in the mood. Heck I'm almost 8m PP and I'm still not in the mood. Breastfeeding kills my sex drive and I never had a high sex drive to begin with.

Let's just say it was so long I don't think I could count it in weeks without some serious math!

Attempted at 5.5 weeks after my first. Succeeded at 8.5 weeks. Tore pretty bad during DDs birth
Successfully DTD at 4 days postpartum with DS. Had a vaginal birth with no tearing and oddly enough no bleeding

@littleblessings: 4 days?! Whoa mama! I was definitely still bleeding heavily then. Can't believe you weren't!
One of my girlfriends went to her 6w PP appointment without her DH. When she got home she told him the doctor said they need to wait 6 months!! Poor guy. He didn't fall for it with LO2.

5 weeks- I had a csection and bleeding was long gone... I could have waited but hubby was really, really starting to get obnoxious about it... He would've never fallen for the "waiting longer than 6 weeks" line... He knows too many people who are way to open about that kind of thing

Shortly after my 6 week check up. More for my husband's sake. I had a c-section and it was still pretty unpleasant!

6 months We started making plans to DTD at like four months but between that and six months it seems someone was always sick or I had AF. Or tired. Haha. How am I supposed to be in the mood on four hours of sleep??

@littleblessings: 4 days?! Good for you!! I was still bleeding, but even if I wasn't, I definitely didn't feel like it haha.

It was somewhere around 10 weeks PP. I was physically ready sooner, but that was the first time the opportunity presented itself. We still haven't done it with LO in the house - not sure about the logistics there.

@portboston glad to hear it's not just me! I think it was 3 months pp. And it hurt. I had a bad episiotomy. I'm 6.5 mos pp and it's still not great. I feel kinda bad about it but I am so overwhelmed and getting no sleep and with BFing... just have zero interest. Hope I am not torpedoing my marriage but every minute of sleep is precious. Uggh!

I don't even understand how people are doing it so soon. Though part of my problem now is the baby is still in our room, toddler is in her room, so that leaves the living room? Both of us are just way too tired to even attempt it plus everyone keeps getting sick. Baby is 11 weeks old now and I don't see it happening soon.
I cant remember after DD1, probably sooner than this but not fun.

@Foodnerd81: I think what makes me feel like it is that DH has been so amazing and supportive during my PDD/PPA this time around that I feel so connected. Plus my mom and my MIL are staying one night a week each (my mom is sometimes doing 2-3 nights) and doing the feedings so I am sleeping. Plus I am very medicated and feel like myself.

@Foodnerd81: man I could have written your post! Ditto to all! We haven't even kissed on the mouth in months due to so much illness!
