I'm curious how many accidents on average your potty trained kid has! I'm referring to those that have recently been potty trained so within a year of potty training (as i hope after that the accidents are rare!). My daughter is potty trained and has about 1-2 accidents a week. Its mostly pee leakage and not full on accidents. Just curious whats average!

We've never had full out accidents. Just a little bit came out a couple times when he pushed his limit and thought he can hold it longer than he can. He stops it and runs to the potty and then goes pee there. Never had a poop accident. He has amazing bladder control. Goes all night without accidents too. We trained about a month ago.

About 0-2 accidents a month for the first 4-5 months after the 3-day training. None after that.

One a week or so. Sometimes less, sometimes more. She will wet the bed more than anything else.

@travellingbee: thankfully no poop accidents here as well! don't even want to imagine the cleanup. haha. yeah dd has that issue where i think she just forgets and will let some out.
@autumnlove: hope thats us! we're on month 3 now. i def learned her triggers (going out to too many places in a row without peeing) so hopefully just taking her more often during those times will help
@mediagirl: i was starting to think i was the only one with a kid that has a weekly accident! naps i let her go without a diaper but at night i don't think i'll give up the diaper for a long awhile.. shes starting to wake up dry like half the time which is great tho!

A couple a month? Specifically, she's had 2 since we trained her over 4th of July. One was in the bed and one was when she was messing around at the kitchen table too long and peed on me

Only pee, she's never had an issue with pooping (she did this for 2 months before pottying) and it goes in spurts, she will goes weeks without and then have 2 in the same week/or even day.

@kodybear: LO1 is 3.25 and trained almost exactly a year ago. we are just finally at the point where she very rarely has accidents -- it's been about a month with 1 accident total. she never had accidents while we were out and about, and very rarely at preschool. mostly they were when she was home and just too distracted to go (super frustrating). she probably had 1/week on average, although it was more randomly spread out: she'd go a week or two without one, then have like 3 in 2 days. but in the past year, she has had new schools, new sibling, and moved across the country, so i'm sure some of it was just all of that craziness too.

our accidents usually occur after she hasn't peed in awhile and has a tantrum. she seems to forget to hold it in the midst of the wailing and stamping her feet.

@KayKay: thats great!! i can't wait till we get to that point! we're the opposite in that when shes home she does awesome, she doesn't need any prompting most of the time and will go when she needs to. preschool on the other hand... hah i think shes getting there slowly but surely
ETA and by the time we get to that point where shes accident free, it'll be time for the next kid to go through potty training. womp womp

The only full blown accidents he's had since the first few weeks of potty training are during nap time. Otherwise, it's just a small drip if he's waited too long o go.

We seem to be stuck on one per day but I don't consider mine trained yet.

We're at the end of the 3rd week of potty training, and he's still having a couple accidents a week. But I don't know if they're real "accidents," or just him being lazy. I'm getting the impression that if he's having fun, he just doesn't want to leave to go to the potty. I'm hoping by 2 months trained, he'll be good to go.

She's had only one daytime accident since she was trained a year ago and zero overnight.

She had like 1-2 accidents per week for the first month after potty training and maybe at most 1 accident per month after that. She's 3, and we didn't train until 3 - not sure if that has helped.
