The last time I weighed myself with my first I had gained 45 pounds. He was born on his due date and I had probably gained close to 50 pounds (or more!). He was 8 lbs 6 oz at birth.
I gained 22 pounds with my second and she came 5 weeks early. She was born at 4 lbs 15oz.
My son was the biggest baby in the labor ward, and my daughter was the smallest.
How much weight did you gain? Do you think it affected your LO's birth weight?

I gained about 15 lbs each time, and I'm on the petite side. My kids were born weighing 5 lbs 13 oz (38w 4d) and 6 lbs (39w 1d). I attribute my minimal weight gain and my kids' smaller size with my GD that I controlled with diet. With LO2 the doctors heavily monitored me due to LO2's small size, but he was born without any health concerns.

I gained 33lbs with B who was 7lb11oz, and 38lbs with W who was 7lbs5oz, so I don't think it affected them. They were both born at 39w3d.

To be honest, I gained 15 lbs with my twin pregnancy when I weighed myself before I was induced. I don't like to admit that so I'll probably delete my comment. In my defense, I'm petite and I had HG and was in and out of the hospital to treat it. I was on anti nausea meds until 24 weeks. My babies were born at 34 weeks so they were small babies (3#11 and 4#3).

DD1 10lbs1oz at 40w0d
DD2 8lbs10oz at 39w4d
DD3 10lbs12oz at 38w4d
I think I just make big babies.
I was big, DH was big.

I gained 40, and I'm a short, skinny person. I looked ridiculous. My baby is huge (90th percentile) and my husband is very tall. So I guess he takes after his dad in that sense.

33 for my first, around 15 for my second and I think 17 for my third pregnancy. LO 1 &2 were 8 lbs and LO 3 was 6 lbs a month early.

I gained about 25 lbs but LO was born at 34w4d. I actually stopped gaining weight, and I always wonder if that was part of the problem. I gained 20 lbs in the first trimester (thanks huge boobs.) and then basically stopped and went all belly.

I gained 33 with LO, who arrived at 39 weeks and weighed just under 7 pounds.
I am on a similar pace with this pregnancy, so I'm assuming I will gain around 35 if we make it to 40 weeks.
I eat healthy and work out regularly. I think my body loves to gain during pregnancy. If I didn't watch myself, I think my weight would go way over the recommended amount. I am short and normally pretty small (I'd say fit though, not slim).

I gained 40+ lbs with my first, despite eating really healthy and he was born at 7lbs 10 oz at 37 weeks. With my second, I gained 25 lbs, even though I had more junk (I ate rice krispy treats for the first twenty weeks when there were days where it was the only thing that didn't trigger morning sickness) and he was born at 6lbs 4oz at 36 weeks.

28lb and 32lb. My second weighed an ounce lighter than my first so I think those extra lbs were just me. I had a voracious appetite the second time!!

I gained @ 35 lbs with DS1, who was 8lbs 3 oz. I gained @ 38lbs with DS2 and he was 9lbs 11oz. I was on modified bedrest for #2 and I only gained a bit more. My boys were born at 38w6d & 38w4d.

35 lbs- I had GD and an almost 8 lb baby. Induced at 39 weeks. Fortunately I lost it all pretty quick.

Around 35 lbs (maybe even 40) with DD1 and DD2, who weighed 5 lb 11 oz and 5 lb 14 oz. this time I've gained 18 lbs at 29 aka; baby is tracking even smaller than her sisters.
Each time at least half of the weight has been in my boobs. Seriously. I'm 5'4" and skinny and look ridiculous.

I gained 19 lbs by 38 weeks when I was induced. DD was little at 6 lbs 2 oz. I'm curious what I would have gained & how big she would have been if she had been born on her due date.

I gained 55lbs. DS was 7lbs 11oz and was born a couple days shy of 38 weeks. A lot of my weight gain at the end was due to swelling. I was huge, I had no ankles and putting on shoes hurt. My doctor was going to induce me at 39 weeks.
This pregnancy I am 22 weeks and have gained about 10lbs. Keeping up with a very active 4 year old is a great workout! But I also started out 10lbs heavier this pregnancy than with my first. It will be interesting to see how much I gain this time.

I actually lost 15lbs my first trimester (not on purpose just happened)
And then slowly gained that back plus 5lbs
But I was only 5lbs over my pre pregnancy weight when I delivered 
My LO was a long legged beauty at 21.5 inches long 8 lbs 5 oz

With DS I lost 10-15lbs then put it back on plus another ten. He was premature, but would have been over 9lbs by his due date. With DD I think I gained between 30 and 40lbs. She was 9 lbs.

DS1 was 6lb15oz. He was born at 39 weeks and I gained 15.
DS2 was 7lbs11oz. He was born at 39 weeks and I gained 18 or 20 pounds I believe.

I gained 30 lbs, and my kiddo was just shy of 8 lbs, at 40+3. 25 of those pounds were gained in the last 10 weeks. I'm petite, and was back to my pre pregnancy weight by 6 weeks, so I think it was just what my body and baby needed.

With my singleton pregnancies I gained around 22lbs each time.
LO1 was 8lbs 7oz (41+2)
LO2 was 7lbs 10oz (38+4)
With my twin pregnancy I gained around 35lbs.
LO3 was 5lbs 9oz (36+2)
LO4 was 5lbs 5oz (36+2)

I gained 30. LO was born just before her due date at 8 lb 10 oz.
I lost the first 20 lbs within a week & the rest was gone by 7 months. Yay for breastfeeding!

I gained about 50lbs. DD was born at 40+8 weighing 9lbs 4ozs. I started my pregnancy underweight and the RE had actually ordered me to gain weight in order to get pregnant.

I gained 25 with DS1 and he was 8 lbs 13 oz.
I gained 35 with DS2 and he was 8 lbs 3 oz. I started 10 lbs lighter with him, so my ending weight was the same.
Currently almost 28 weeks with DD and have gained 23 lbs so far.

70lbs with my twins (nuts because I'm petite to start with). 35 lbs was during the last 3 weeks and was mostly retained water!!! I swelled/ had pitting edema starting with my feet and it eventually reached my belly button!
Babies were born at 36w4d and weighed 6lbs and 5lbs 10oz.

I gained 40 pounds with my son born 8# 3, but lost it in 6 months without issue.
I've gained 35 pounds so far, and I'm 28 weeks. Been trying to keep up with exercise and eating healthy, but man I am so freaking hungry!
