Ours was tough! The weather was great, but we had limited childcare for a lot of the summer... and when we had it, it usually ended early in the day. So it was almost impossible to balance work and home.

Good but tough as well. Our winters are very gloomy here so we try to make the most of our summers. We definitely kept ourselves busy which was fun but exhausting at the same time. I never thought about the challenges of summer with school aged kids. I felt like I was driving my kids back and forth between daycare (for younger) and camps (for older) plus their other activities. I think I just played with my sister at home mostly during summer break when we were young.

Long. Being super pregnant during the summer was no fun. Also did a lot of solo parenting and we didn't take any trips like we normally do.

Good...simple (well, other than having a baby) but we did go to the spray park often and did a lot of bike rides...just no big vacations. It was actually a pretty hot summer for the PNW and it was hard to be 9 months pregnant, swollen and not have air conditioning. Also, I had a pit in my stomach for months knowing that I would have to send B off to kindergarten at the end of summer! I'm still adjusting even though he has already started. Ugh...it's so hard

Didn't feel that different from the rest of the year! We really enjoyed the longer hours of daylight though!

It was great! I get to experience being a SAHM during the summer and I really enjoyed it. I was sad to see summer end, but at the same time, it's been kinda nice to get back into our routine.

Not to be a downer, but it pretty much sucked! We probably had less than 10 good summer days weather-wise. I feel pretty burnt out from work. But I get to go on vacation in like 9 days, and I'll be gone for over a month, so I just keep having that in the back of my mind!

Pretty decent!
I took two summer classes though which sucked me in from may-end of July. My summer felt like it was just August.
It was also odd weather-wise, it rained a lot in July! And we didn't really get super hot humid days in August like we usually do- so my three week break in August was actually lovely.

It didn't really feel like summer to me. I liked the cooler weather but that meant less pool/sprinkler/beach days.

I would say it's been the best summer of my life! It was my first full summer as a mom and we really enjoyed making the most of the weather and long days, got to see a lot of our friends... It's just been really great experiencing summer with my fun one year old.
Not to say there haven't been moments that weren't so hot but overall it's been great.

Meh. I don't like summer anyway, and we didn't do anything outdoorsy or special this year since we're adjusting to parenthood. I'm glad to see fall so I can take my child outside without worrying about us overheating.

Mine was good, busy, but good. We had lots of weeks/long weekends away visiting friends & family. Weather was decent in July and not so great in August. Still haven't made it to the beach really, but there's always September

It was sucky at first. Pneumonia for DD and then me. The last few weeks have been the best since DH had some vacation time.

As usual, went by too fast! Never get to do half the things I wanted to do, esp being pregnant and everything!
