My LO has been asking to go to the pool, every. single. day. We didn't get a chance this weekend, but I wanted to pick him up early from daycare today and take him. Any good ideas on what I can feed him poolside for dinner besides sandwiches?

Could you bring cutlery? Pasta salad could be eaten right from the container and wouldn't need heating. Chicken Caesar wraps (does that count as a sandwich?), maybe?

@dragonsword: haha DH and I were just thinking about this! Definitely want to maximize pool time but working + dinner time puts a damper on it!
The first idea that came to mind is a cold pasta salad.

I think he'd be okay with cold/room temp nuggets... i don't think he'll eat pasta salad, homeboy is picky. =(

DS1 is super picky as well.
He would probably only eat pbj or pb crackers at the pool. Getting him to sit still would be an issue too

Maybe a bento box of easy to eat items? Turkey pepperoni, cheese stick, berries, cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumber, hard boiled egg. The smaller portions and different options might be good!

I would make a deconstructed pasta salad like boiled tortellini and toss in some olive oil and serve that cold with chunks of ham or turkey or salami, string cheese, baby carrots or cherry tomatoes, and a fruit salad.

Cold fried chicken, fruit salad, and veggies with dip! We also get pizza delivered to our apartment complex pool

My kids like pepperoni and cheese with some fruit. Or peanut butter on crackers!
