DS was a high needs baby and DD was so relaxed in comparison! DS is very active, determined and can be strong willed. He is inquisitive about everything and how things work. DD is still more relaxed but can have major mommy attachment, even when grandmas are around! She is a climber, DS never was, and when she has a chance to play by herself she plays so much nicer than DS did at this age!

@creativemomma15: it sounds like we have the same LOs!
DS: high needs infant, easy toddler, amazing focus/concentration, very cautious with physical things like climbing and jumping. Has a hard time playing alone unless "reading" books.
DD: easiest infant ever, has become a challenging toddler, not as much attention span, much more fearless with physical aspects. Can play alone.
They also don't look much alike at all!

My kids are polar opposites!
Dd: awake constantly from day 1, would never nap, very intense, colicky, hated being worn.
Ds: sleepy, calm, easy to put down drowsy but awake, takes 2-3 hour naps, smiley, loves being worn.
Ds is only 7 weeks so I'm sure more things will come about as he gets older

Everything about my twins are opposite so far. Their likes, dislikes, looks, temperament, etc, all opposite!

I have a feeling mine will be completely different. I'll have to learn all the tricks for getting this kid to eat and sleep from scratch, and as for keeping the two of them happy at the same time... I'm scared. I'll have to be a really good negotiator!

@lamariniere: ok your kids sound identical to mine in every way! my oldest was high needs infant, easy toddler/preschooler.. cautious, harder time playing alone, etc. my youngest was an easy angel baby, but a very active and fearless toddler yet super independent.
@mrsjyw: my kids are polar opposites! but they somehow mesh really well and get along great! they even have opposite food preferences!

They are eerily similar. Except DD2 has a 4am feed still which isn't my favourite.
Overall they are both happy, healthy, silly, sleepy, and chill.

#2 was an easier baby than #1-- but #1 had mspi that went undiagnosed for a long time.
As toddlers they are very similar-- strong willed and independent. I'd say #2 is a little more easy going. But when she does get upset, watch out!
#3 is currently a big lump of eating, sleeping and smiling so can't say too much yet!

their temperaments are really similar. they are/were both calm easy babies, good eaters and good sleepers. their personalities are pretty opposite though. she is sensitive, cautious, observant.. he is super active, social, adventurous.

They are more similar than dissimilar so far! So there's a fair amount of fighting, probably for that reason, but they also love each other lots.

Both DS (26 months) & DD (4.5 months) are happy, smiley, social babies. DS however, was always a mover and loved to be active. He also adapts to situations quickly and isn't very shy around other kids.
DD is happy just being held and talked to - she's not as active as her brother was and seems more chill. She also loves to sleep way more than her brother ever did! (Thankfully!) We'll see how her personality develops as she gets older.
