I'm taking 13 ish weeks. I wish it were more but I don't want to not be paid for that long!

I'm taking 8 weeks with this LO, all unpaid.

I'll be taking four weeks STD prior to my due date, six to eight weeks of STD after delivery depending on whether it's vaginal or C-section, and then 12 weeks of bonding leave. If she's born on time, vaginally, it'll be a total of 22 weeks (or less I guess if she's early), and I guess it could possibly extend on up to 26 weeks if she's very late and I have a C-section. All the STD (minus the one-week waiting period) and half of the bonding leave will be paid, and I have a couple of weeks of PTO to apply too, so I think only five weeks will be unpaid in the end.

21 weeks, maybe 22.

Im taking a year and I am due July 2nd. I will likely extend so I can enjoy the rest of the summer.. so about 14ish months in total.

I'm taking six months. After the first six weeks it will be unpaid.

3-4 months. I have to use my sick and vacation time, then the rest is unpaid.

Whatever won't get me fired, which is 12 weeks. I was hoping to ask for longer, but another girl in my department is due two months before me, and I don't want the rest of the department scrambling to cover for two of us. Other than expecting 12 hour days, they're pretty nice people.

I think I'm going to get 16-18 weeks total. I'm due in August, and I will get 6 weeks of STD, and then 12 weeks child bonding time.

It's mostly unpaid after the 6 weeks STD.

12 weeks off, and then 4 weeks working part time before coming back full time. All paid at 100%, love my company.

@autumnlove: I feel extremely unproductive haha, like I forgot how to work! All I did was pump lol!

12 weeks, only 3 of which are paid. I plan on sending DD1 to daycare full time for the first month or so and then if/when I get adjusted she will go to part time. Luckily our daycare is being super sweet and we only have to pay for when she's there.

12 weeks through fmla

first mat leave I took a year at 55%, all paid.

Second mat leave I took 6 weeks of sickness leave, 2 unpaid, 4 paid at 55%. Then I switched over to my actual mat leave, 26 weeks at 70%, 26 weeks at 55% with a supplement top up that works out to just 15$ less than I was getting at 70%.

And then theres the UCCB, Quebec baby bonus & CCTB which I count as "income" for this year to make up the difference. Other years it's a college fund.

I'm not going back to work after this one though, I'm going back to school full time.

I work for myself so I'll try to take off a few months at least, but my leave will go into my typical slow season, so we'll see!

I don't have to go back until December 31st 2015 but unless things change I'll be back in August or September.

I am taking 6 months- I'm guessing between 9-10 weeks will be paid-whatever PTO I have when baby arrives, 6 by STD+top up from my company, 2 weeks 100% paid by my company, and the remainder unpaid.

I'm in Canada and am splitting the year with my husband. But not equally! I'll take 10 months, he'll take 2, plus there is some vacation time that we can both use. I just won't accrue very much next year because I'll be away for so long. We get the usual 55%, and then get bumped up to 93% by our company.

Ugh, this thread makes jealous of you Candians. I'm taking 6 weeks, with the intention to work exclusively from home for a while when I go back. My company is very small and we don't have STD or FMLA. My boss is cool though, so he'll give me as much time as I need to get adjusted.

@Astro Bee: That is nice of you to share. I took the whole year. DH took extra days off here and there.
