    @Ms.Badger: That must be your employer's policy because CA state disability is only 4 weeks before and 6-8 after depending on delivery (in terms of pay). Unless something changed in the very recent past.

    8-10 weeks paid.

    I'll take 4-6 weeks before I go back to working at the office full time, but I'll have to be doing some work from home during that time. I wish I could take longer, but due to the nature of my position I really can't have someone else cover my work for any extended period of time.

    I'm due in mid-August and plan to be back by early December. I get the standard 12 weeks of FMLA, but if my return hits during Thanksgiving, I may see if I can take some additional PTO.

    @ChelseaRose: it's 4 before, and 6-8 after (std) and then 6 more paid family leave. One of the bloggers worked through it and I followed up. Partners get their own 6 weeks paid family time
