It depends, but if I'm really feeling fancy, I'll curl it (I guess that's considered "down"?)

Doing my hair is usually just straightening it and I keep it down. Although I'll pin back some on top.

Doing my hair means blow-drying it and styling it. Most days its pushed into a messy topknot.

Down! I almost never wear my hair up. I pretty much "do" my hair every day. That involves either curling or flat ironing.

down. i make it super straight or for special events i curl it.

I cannot do a thing with my hair, so "doing it" means straightening it and leaving it down. I wish I was better at it!

Doing my hair is always a down style. I only have 2 styles though
1) re-flat iron after getting a few bed time curls
2) twisting freshly washed hair to wear manageable natural curls

Either. For me it just means doing something other than a bun or ponytail. lol

Doing my hair = down. Not doing it = up on top of my head immediately after shower

Down and straight. Although its usually in a ponytail. I am embarrassed that I do not know how to curl my hair

Down. I will blow dry it and or use the flat iron. Usually I just let it air dry and then put it in a ponytail.

@Lindsay05: @jhd: Ditto
"Done" is down and flat ironed. Not done is wet and in a messy bun.

"doing" my hair entails me leaving it down and curling it.

Down. I consider my hair "done" if I blow dry it lol. If I want to get really fancy I'll curl it. That's happened once since LO...

These days, it's doing a side braid to make my ponytail look fancy. Before the baby, I wore it down and curled it with the curling iron.

@Boheme: I wish my dh liked braids! I love them but my dh hates them. He said he feels like they are "disney princes hair" and not something grown women should wear. I totally disagree and think they're awesome, but if I'm going to all the trouble of doing my hair (which happens rarely) I want to do something dh will at least like lol.

My hair is very curly, and super long right now. On the days I "do" it (aka. wash it) I usually wear it down, with a side part and the very front pieces from the part twisted to the side. But every other day, my off day from washing so it doesn't get too dry, its usually halfway back, or pulled all up.

Down it's pin straight and doesn't stay in an updo unless professionally done!

I have a super-short pixie, so its the same whether I "do" it or not.
When my hair was long, to do it, I'd blow it out about 90% dry so that it was still wavy, then define some more waves with the flat iron. It was a giant pain in the ass, and letting it sir dry resulted in a frizzy mess, which is why I chopped it all off.
I've never worn my hair up, though. Only when cleaning the house or working out.

Half and half these days. Either I curl it and wear it down, or I braid it and pin it up. But I rarely "do" my hair. Usually it's either half up or all up and doesn't look really polished. I have a ton of hair and I'm lazy.

@Boheme: Love it! I wear braids a ton too! My hair is so thick and unruly, it's one of the only ways I can reliably tame it.
