Hey Bees,
I need some hair help. I have an appointment to get my hair done tomorrow evening and I just have NO idea what to do. Usually just colour it black with maybe a streak of red but I'm kind of tired of that. I'm not against going all black. My problem is style. I usually get it cut straight across and have long fringe. I need a new style. I'm going nuts!

What about bangs? I think your hair would look gorgeous with some long, sideswept bangs.

@BelugaBean: I have had bangs before and loved them. from super short baby bangs to long fringe. I'd be very open to that.

Also, I have totally looked online at photos to try and find something I like, but a lot of styles don't work with my hair type.
Super fine hair and lots of it.
So, I came here in hopes that someone might be able to think of something that I haven't thought of yet.

I think cutting it so its a little longer than shoulder length, with side swept bangs and longer layers would look so cute! Stay at your darkest level and maybe put a few warmer highlights in framing your face if your open to that.... fyi- not that it matters but i am a hairstylist

What about a long angled bob with auburn highlights? Sort of like GP's, but longer over all (with the same shape) . . .

@MrsJacks: So chic! My hair is similar, i.e., fine, tons of it, and wavy (easy to blow out), and I am also thinking of doing something similar to this. Right now, my hair is below my bra strap and takes forever to blow dry (even with a T3 dryer).

what about one of these? you have such a beautiful facial structure, you could totally pull of something shorter if you wanted. i'm sure whatever you do, you'll be gorgeous! =)

@Bao: I think that's totally what I'm leaning towards. I'm so attached to having it long, so it's hard to think of it shorter. This is shorter than it has been in a long time already! I'm trying to adjust to going any shorter.
@Mrs.Hawk71: Oh! Well, thanks for your input. Will I be able to do any warmer tones? I've been colouring my hair black permanently since I was 16. I have layer over layer of permanent black!
@MsLipGloss: I actually have had this cut before and LOVED it. I might end up doing that again, you've totally reminded me!
@mrs. bird: Thank you. I do love her hair but I just feel like it's too short for me right now. I am really attached to the length at the moment. I have had my hair that short and loved it though so who knows.

I don't have any useful hair suggestions, I just wanted to tell you that your eyes are incredibly striking! I think sme bangs to emphasize them would be marvellous.

@MsLipGloss: It's a blessing and a curse. I never have enough time to get it all the way dry before work, but a sharp A line does look great in our hair type, and I always have my stylist razor it out underneath in back which helps it lie very smoothly and dry a little faster.

@.twist.: I use a Bumble and Bumble texturizing spray before I blow dry and that seems to hold the volume for a longer time... but with our hair type, we're never going to have the greatest volume. I think the razor in the back underlayers helps too.

@.Twist.: Most days, I just blow dry upside down and use a little dry shampoo at the roots in the front (my hair is pretty smooth and it helps to give it a little texture while controlling oil throughout the day). When I have extra time, I use Aveda's Phomollient and blow dry my roots first (away from my scalp) for extra volume. It works great!

@.twist.: Yes you sure can go warmer/lighter with some highlights...it would require lightening with bleach and possibly toning to the desired color tone. (like a caramel color) For more volume, i would try a good root boost and a little back combing/ texturizing paste. Something light that wont weigh your hair down, bed head hard to get is a good one!

@.twist.: No style advice...Just wanted to say that you look gorgeous, and your hair already looks great to me. Your eyes and cheekbones are amazing, so I'm sure you'll look great in whatever style you pick! Looking forward to the "after."

Thanks again for all the advice ladies! I didn't end up doing anything too drastic. When I it got right down to the scissors I just couldn't let go of my long hair. 
hahaha maybe next time!
