Did your child's nursing patterns change right when you became pregnant? My 20 month old all of the sudden started nursing A LOT more a week or so before I found out I was pregnant. He wants to nurse constantly!! It's driving me crazy. I definitely don't want to wean so im not really planning on doing anything about it, but I'm curious if others have experienced something similar.

Not really? My 13 month old has continued nursing am and pm, but not really more. I'm going to wean soon, though. My boobs have become sensitive and his teeth hurt!

No, I didn't notice a change in my 11 month old. I was slowly trying to wean her at the time but she would have happily continued nursing as often as I let her. No sudden increase in demand or anything. BUT she is very clingy at the moment at 21 months...maybe just a developmental thing, not pregnancy related? (Not that I would know since we have a newborn at home which definitely makes big sis want more attention)

mine did increase when I first found out I was pregnant - I think my supply dipped a bit. I had to night wean her at about 6 weeks because I was so sick - now she nurses morning and night, and after tantrums.

Yes she started nursing more and as of late, she has started nursing more at night. But I honestly don't ever know what is pregnancy/teething/growth spurt related and what isnt. So who knows.
I just check for wet diapers and her weight is increasing so I don't think it's a supply issue.

I think I have a thread about it somewhere on here. I nursed the first couple months of my pregnancy, but weaned afterwards. It was hard on me between the sore boobs and I think my milk tasted differently to my DS. I dried up due to the pregnancy and that was it for us.

DD had just turned 1 when I got pregnant. Within 3 months my milk had pretty much dried up, but she continued to nurse as usual.
I made sure she was eating more solids and gave her around 6 oz of cow's milk before our nursing sessions since I knew she wouldn't be getting much. -
My lo was 20 months when we got our BFP and she's gradually reduced her nursing sessions so that at 26 months she only nurses 1-3 times a day.
