    Good luck, ladies!

@lindsayinny: My RE also tells us to abstain at least 2 days, but not more than 7. Wishing you the best of

@bluestriped bee: Awesome news about the follicles and your husband's sample You guys will have a great vaca knowing that you have another IUI in the books

I like your thinking about life only giving you what you can handle. This is a good reminder for all of us.

As for me, I POAS this morning and got a ugh.....I'm sure I'll take another hpt tomorrow and Friday but I don't have too much hope. I thought we might get lucky because I also had my hsg this month...

Sorry, don't mean for this to turn into a rant. But, can I just say that I hate, hate, hate how my mood is so dictated by my cycle...........ahhhhh!

CD1= ok, AF let's get in an get out so we can get to that fertile window
CD14-18 = wooohooo fertile window! This must be the month. Happiness, positive feelings, etc.
CD 18-28 = Emotional roller coaster of thinking I'm definitely pregnant to thinking there is no chance in hell.
CD28-33 = Anger, bitterness, frustration, sadness when AF arrives.

@lindsayinny: I am glad you have follicles that are getting ready! Hopefully they will be ready to go for Saturday. But thank goodness they can tell and it isn't just a guess when to do the IUI so you aren't wasting money!!!

So another update, DH wasn't able to provide a sample for today's IUI. It's okay because we have samples frozen. Fresh would be better but, at least, it's something.

I'm still hopeful. Yesterday's fresh sample was 65 million!

When I've done thawed samples in the past, they say they like to have, at least, 10 million. We have 5 vials thawed (transported from our last RE). I'm hopeful that they can have 10 million or more for today's IUI.

@winter_wonder: thanks! Yeah, it's a great way to think of our struggle. Ugh, yeah, I hate that roller coaster of emotions!

@bluestriped bee: Wow!! That's 65 million perfect little swimmers!!! FX!

  6. BSB

hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts

@LindsayInNY: Thanks! Though, we need those 65 million to swim!! The thawed sample today only at 3 million.

The vials were transferred from another RE and so they didn't know how many were in each vial. I thought they were going to keep thawing vials until they get to at least 10 million.. but they said today that 3 million was okay for an IUI and so we went with it.

It's suppose to take 45 minutes to prep an IUI sample and because of traffic, I was really late to my IUI, so I wasn't going to press them on it. Between the two IUIs, there's 68 million swimming in there.

Anyway, IUIs are done and now it's time to get ready for Disney!!

@bluestripedbee: That all sounds really good! Lots of swimmers in there! I am so excited for you!!!! Try to relax and have a good time at Disney!!! I can't remember, how many follicles did you say you had? Does your RE charge you full price when you do 2 IUI's back to back like that?

I don't know what to think about this whole process anymore... Went in this morning for another ultrasound check. On Monday, I had 3 or so of a good size on the right size (1-2 larger than the other or something like that) and some smaller ones on the left side. This morning, the left side has taken over. The right follicles (not sure how many) are 13-14mm, I think? I tried to get the number but she wasn't overly vocal during the exam. The left size had one huge follicle though and, with this morning's EWCM I'm fairly certain that I will be naturally Oing this week. I guess that's due to the big left follicle? I was hoping there would more than 1 "ripe" one though. I asked what happens if I O naturally before everything is mature enough and didn't really get a direct answer. Waiting for this afternoon's call once they have my blood work back. We'll see!

@bluestriped bee: I just wanted to mention that I was reading through my specialty's main journal yesterday, and there was an article about how there is no difference between fresh and frozen sperm for fertility treatments.
I have a couple friends who have been through this. I'm really pulling for all of you, for their sakes.

@Lindsayinny: It seems to me like you aren't really seeing a very good RE, they didn't give you any information, haven't really told you much about what is going on. I would be pretty frustrated about this process too if that were the case. I'm sorry that you aren't really having a good experience.... hopefully it will work and you won't have to do it anymore! Sounds like you had a lot of potential follies though! I only had 2, I know when she was measuring one of the numbers she said was 21mm. I am not sure about the other, but my 2 were good size. I guess that is my age making my number of eggs lower.

@fotolori1: Oh, no, my RE is really good! It's just that they don't play the "what if" game unless necessary. So no "what if this cycle doesn't work, then what next" until we hit that point. I trust what they're doing but the Type A in me wants/likes to know the "why" of everything too.

So did you get your IUI this weekend?? I am going in the morning for my 7 day progesterone level! My temp during the day is really up there. I felt super hot today (hot flashes too) and I took my temp and it was 99.5. My BBT has been around 98.3ish which is well above my coverline! I am bloated and having lots of heartburn! I hope all these are good signs, but they can also be symptoms of just my progesterone being up higher. I hate this tww!

@fotolori1: I did, on Saturday! And then I've been sick ever since which is awesome I start Crinone (progesterone) today but aren't scheduled to go back until August 18 for testing (provided AF doesn't arrive before then).

@fotolori1: good luck & FX for great numbers!

@LindsayInNY: I always thought IUI was such a huge procedure, & then it was all over so quickly. Then my thoughts after my first IUI quickly went to thinking, that was so fast for such a costly procedure. I do hope this cycle is it for you though!

  15. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@lazypanda: Those were basically my thoughts! I had braced myself for it when all of a sudden it was done. I think I even said "that's it?" afterwards, LOL!

Did anyone change their routine post-IUI in the TWW? I didn't ask my RE and it wasn't mentioned. I guess I'm just wondering whether I should be abstaining from high impact activities/work outs?

  17. fotolori1

Mine said to do everything as normal, but only take Tylenol for pain. They think ibuprofen can interfere with implantation.

  18. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@fotolori1: Okay, good because I've been taking Tylenol since I'm super sick for some reason I think I'm gonna hold off on spinning in the meantime, just in case...

  19. fotolori1

    apricot / 386 posts

Wouldn't hurt to lower the impact of the cardio for a bit, just to be safe. Super sick? Might be an elevated progesterone level if you were on Clomid!

  20. lazypanda

    kiwi / 636 posts

@LindsayInNY: my RE told me to not do high impact sports if I haven't been doing so already. And to dial it down if I had already been doing so. My RE & acupuncturist said that yoga and walking are good.

  21. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@fotolori1: What'd you mean about elevated progesterone? I was on Clomid. I've had a major head cold since Saturday afternoon - stuffy, sneezy, runny, swollen throat glands, sore body.

@lazypanda: I think dialing it down would be my best option... It's only for two weeks, not forever so I'll live!

  22. fotolori1

    apricot / 386 posts

@lindsayinny: Sometimes a higher progesterone level can cause you to feel sick. I didn't realize it was a cold.

I went in for my progesterone level to be checked and they said it is over 40!!! Last month it was only 13.6 so I am super excited that it is that high this month!! I am feeling so optimistic as I have been super tired and really hungry! I am hoping I am not just lazy and fat, but I have a good reason to feel like that!

    How is everyone else doing?

  23. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@fotolori1: Yeah, sinus stuff turned into cough now. Bizarre timing, I guess.

My RE doesn't have me back in to check for progesterone. I wonder if that's normal?

    Keep on updating us!!

  24. lazypanda

    kiwi / 636 posts

@fotolori1: that's awesome news!!! Over 40?!?!? Keeping my FX for you! What if it's multiples?

@LindsayInNY: I think if you're taking progesterone suppositories it might be counter indicated since the numbers would not be an accurate reflection. Still sending good thoughts your way!

@bluestriped bee: I hope your TWW is going well!

  25. fotolori1

    apricot / 386 posts

@lazypanda: I would be ok with twins, much more than that I don't know what I would think! I would be terrified!

@lindsayinny and @bluestripedbee: How are you all feeling?

I am so scared to think anything is a symptom because I don't want to be disappointed, but I have been SO tired! I have also been hungry, and I have been peeing constantly! I have occasional feelings of nausea, but I know all of this can be because of my progesterone. I am trying NOT to get excited, but it is hard to do!!! I can't wait until next Tuesday when I can test!!!!!

    @bluestriped bee: @fotolori1: @LindsayInNY: I hope your 2WW are flying by!

I'm going to be jumping back in to the IUI process in another month as we try for #2. We visited our RE this week and the plan this month is to run the usual tests, along with a saline sonogram to make sure the uterus looks ready to receive another embryo. So I hope to cycle in September!

@fotolori1: I'm feeling nothing (yet). I don't know how much the progesterone skews things though? How are you doing??

  28. fotolori1

    apricot / 386 posts

@sweetooth: Thank you! It is going pretty fast, but not fast enough! Best of luck to you!!!!

@lindsayinny: The only thing that is really apparent is being super tired, but I am accounting that to the progesterone level I had of over 40. I had another temp rise this morning. I am suppose to test on Tuesday, but my best friend wants me to test on Monday. She said if my temp didn't dip back down that I should come to her house after I take my son to school and test there! I am sure I wont make it to Tuesday!

@lazypanda: @fotolori1: @sweetooth: Sorry, I'm back from vacation now. Had a good week. Thanks for asking. It was very warm waiting in lines but I took some days off and just relaxed at the pool. Since I was on vacation, I did keep up on my Circle and Bloom meditations. Beta is scheduled for Wednesday and I'll POAS on Tuesday. No symptoms. Just gotta wait til Tuesday or Wednesday.

Well, I broke down and tested today and I am 12 dpo, it was negative which is very disappointing, but I guess til AF shows up I'm not out. I thought surely this month was it. I am so bummed. Wish I hadn't even tested.

  31. LindsayInNY

@fotolori1: ((hugs)) I hope it's just too early! I'm at the point where I hate POAS

@bluestriped bee: FX for you! I'm glad you had a great vacation!

@fotolori1: I hope it's still early for you!

@LindsayInNY: I hope your two week wait & tonight's super moon help with implantation during your TWW!

  33. fotolori1

    apricot / 386 posts

@lindsayinny: me too! I was reading today that average implantation is from 6-12 dpo with an average of 9-10, also it takes 2-3 days after that for a blood test to show positive and 3-4 days after that to show in the urine. I am not very optimistic at this point but I haven't given up completely.

I can't help but wonder if I am not pregnant this month, with everything that went RIGHT, what the heck went wrong??? I am so discouraged. I have spent over $500 the last 2 months, I can't keep it up for many more. praying I will be one of those who gets a bfn on day 12 and then a BFP on day 14 or 15.

  34. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@fotolori1: Oh, I'm SO with you on those thoughts... And it's hard not to get discouraged. I try to ignore how much I've spent/am spending. Denial, I guess. I've been googling IUI stories but for as many positive (no pun intended!) ones I read, there are just as many negative ones which lead to IVF. I'm so sick of getting my hopes up too. DH is so hopeful this cycle now.

  35. BSB

hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts

@fotolori1: Oh, no. I know how discouraging it is to get a negative at 12 DPO. I know that when I'm in that situation, all hope is gone, but know that all of us are hoping that negative will turn positive soon! Thinking of you!!

  36. BSB

hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts

So I'm probably going to cave and POAS tonight when I get home, I think it's going to be 12 DPO. No cramping or sore boobs, but I've been so bloated lately. All through my trip and now after. I was bloated/ gassy on the plane but that's normal for me.

I was just thinking, early on in my TTC journey, I wanted to test like every day after like 8 DPO to try to get that early BFP. Now, because of IF, I want to hold off to test. It sucks. I know for our sanity, we should wait to test til the last minute but the urge to find out early is, also, appealing.

    @bluestriped bee: FX for you!

@fotolori1: @LindsayInNY: sending positive vibes for the both of you as well! Hold onto the hope. And if you should falter with the hope, I will continue hoping for all of you.

  38. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@lazypanda: Thank you I think I'm going to stop temping because it's only messing with me. It's been super consistently high (moreso than usual) but was a bit lower today. So now I'm freaked that AF will arrive despite being on progesterone (which has never happened before). I'm heading to Vegas tomorrow so the time difference will throw my temping off anyways. These last few days are the worst!!

    @bluestriped bee: Any news??

@lazypanda: @LindsayInNY: @Adira: I took a wondfro last night and it was negative. This morning I took a FRER and I think it was negative. I don't think I saw a line. It is about 7 days before my period so maybe it's too early. Maybe I'll try another wondfro tonight. I should get a definite answer tomorrow with my beta.
