Hi all! I've been MIA for a while and need to catch up but my little one was born 1/18 at 10:59pm! 7 lb 8 oz, 20" long. 29 hours of back labor.. No epidural! Here is Lucas Joseph

I had contractions all night long but nothing strong or painful (fingers crossed they were making progress beyond the 3cm dilated from my Monday appointment). I am having an "induction massage" today. I'm hopeful but there is obviously no guarantee for something like this. -
@bisous: awwww hang in there!! What's an induction massage? I've never heard of it before!

@gracecat: Just like a prenatal massage--very relaxing--but the massage therapist uses essential oils (clary sage) and acupressure points known to induce labor.
It was very relaxing. Definitely having contractions...but they are kind of sporadic and aren't really getting stronger! The massage therapist said it usually works within 24 hours IF it is going to work. I am hopeful!

39w2d here, and still 1cm and long, according to my check today. Doc said it's very likely I'll go past my due date again with this pregnancy (D was induced at 41w). Ugh. Last time I could not stomach the thought of having sex, but I want this kid OUT.

@littlebug: I wasn't really actively searching for it...somehow I remembered seeing it on a local yoga teacher/massage therapist's website! I can wall you her website in case you are interested! (Lol and will keep you posted if it happens to work in the next 16 hours)!

@littlebug: DH totally nixed the idea of sex after 38 weeks, but after seeing me break down in tears going overdue and getting a 41 wk induction date, his mind opened a bit... it didn't work, but we tried!
