I saw the August board pop up and thought we should have on too =)
We have our crib/changing table and glider so far. We also put a fresh coat on paint on the walls, but other wise we have tons of work to do!
Any suggestions on a window treatment are welcome! The theme is girly harry potter =)

That is adorable!! We actually got a print the weekend we found out we were pregnant that's a picture of Harry potter made up of the alphabet. I'll have to post it when I get home!

@lauraeabel: I'm excited to see how your theme turns out! I'll post a collage later of all the art we've bought so far for woodsy nursery. We haven't bought any furniture yet, and the closet now has no shelves since we are redoing, so I feel behind!!

@runnerd: can't wait to see your ideas! And your aren't behind- we went a little crazy on furniture because of sales. The crib being put together is making time go even slower. I can't wait for July! We still obviously have a ton to do though =)

@lauraeabel: ok finally made it back to post!
First two pics: the empty nursery painted mint green, and art I've got so far (realizing I need a few horizontal things lol).
Then also added a pic of the crib we are getting. Last pic is set-up from Pinterest with ikea stuff. We are going to exactly copy the shelf/basket set-up.

@runnerd: love it!! All your art is so adorable- especially the deer! Also, not sure if you read young house love but I pretty much stalk that family, and they have your crib. They seem to really love it, and they make amazing decisions.

@runnerd: Have you picked out crib sheets yet? I love your woodland decor theme I've been looking around but can't find anything I'm in love with. I want to do a simple crib skirt too, just not sure if I should get plain sheets and a patterned skirt or plain skirt and patterned sheets? I'm debating making a crib skirt too...I'm not a sewer but they are so darn expensive every where I've looked!

@NorCalWayfarer: I don't really need a crib skirt with the crib I'm getting, so I'm going to buy a few cheap sheets from target, and splurge on one or two "cool" ones on etsy, haha. Here's the ones I have my eye on.

@runnerd I have that crib and love it! When its set high you need a crib skirt to go into the in between space! I found made my own with hem tape and double sided velcro....

I'm having the worst time picking out sheets/and curtains for this room. I can't find anything curtains wise that I like. I was thinking maybe owl sheets for the theme, but this is all I've found and it looks a bit masculine to me:

@lauraeabel: lol, I've been that way this week. All the stuff I like is more $$$ than I wanna spend.
I'm suuuuper excited though because our closet shelves and crib were ordered this weekend, so we should have both in about a week and be able to start pulling the nursery together a tiny bit!

Our nursery theme is Geography! Not because I care for geography that much but because I wanted to avoid going for the sports themed room for a boy and because I wanted something educational. Plus, my hubby is from Scotland so I'm going to get prints made of his country and my state and put them up side by side. Plus, my mom bought us a globe to go in the room, and now I can't wait to see it all come together!
Colors will be grey (sheets, wall color, and blinds?) and the accent colors are light blue and light green, which are luckily, easy to find in blankets, baskets, and changing pad covers.
Still need to purchase furniture but we're on our way!
This is the decal I just ordered to put the wall- it's a small room so I'm hoping it doesn't overpower everything! It'll be a light blue.

@littleredhairedgrl: yea the prices make me gag a little! I checked out the brand you mentioned and wish they had more sheets in my color scheme!! it's so hard to find affordable and hip crib sheets!

@runnerd and now that I know sheets are sold on etsy, I'm officially obsessed with scrolling through them. So many adorable patterns! All way too expensive =(

Finally made some nursery progress this weekend! Closet system installed (I swear it's straight in person lol). Now just to do something about the completely empty room!

I'm just ignoring the nursery until after our baby shower in May. People were getting mad at me for buying stuff! It's so hard not to do anything though.

I made some canvas wall art which I'll post once it's hanging. I ordered a new glider and I bought the swing last week. Her closet is stocked with a billion pieces of clothing that DD outgrew so I'll wash all of it up in the next 3 months. We'll probably just get crib sheets, a diaper changing pad cover, curtains and then we'll be done...that's the great part about being the third child

Ours is cities and maps, so I'm partial We found an awesome wire globe that we hung over the crib as a mobile, and we have prints from a calendar of lots of different cities. My DH is a bit of a geography junkie, so I'm pretty excited about it Can't wait to see what you come up with!

dh started painting this weekend and just ordered our crib and dresser to come around 28 weeks. so exciting!

@Littlebit: it's by closet maid and carried at Home Depot! It was only $50, and they will ship for free if you need shipped.
