@PawPrints: Thank you for all of the details of your bfp!! You certainly are pregnant so do enjoy every day of it. As for your TWW, it sounds like you blew it out big time! Good for you, doll!! Best of luck these next 9 months!

@dc yoga bee: and @MrsMccarthy: thanks for the quick responses, ladies! DH is great and although I'm not like overtly sad or upset, he offered to stay home from work! So sweet and he can't really do that, but the offer was nice. He told me to go buy some milkweed plants and butterfly bushes to cheer myself up. I love butterflies on my patio so I think I will do just that!

@PawPrints: nice lines today!! I can totally relate to the "if" talk, but much better to embrace the "today you are pregnant" mantra! All it takes is 9mos of todays, right!

@pawprints:I think it was the morning sex! That's how we conceived DS on our first try. And this round we did a little of that too... Congrats again! Don't be worried. What's meant to be will be, no matter if we stress or not

@mrsmcd: that was early! How long was your cycle this time? I'm sorry sweet girl. But we knew the clogged tubes weren't your problem anyway. FWIW, I'm happy to have you as my clomid partner Butterfly bushes??? I. Must. Get.

    @GoGoSnoGirl: @eabae: Thanks, ladies.

@organicmama: I'm so very happy to have you as a clomid partner too!! My cycle was 27 days. My LP was 12 days. Does that seem normal? I always thought it was normal. ETA: If I pick up the plants today, I will post a picture.

I am also out. AF came a little early, and it's always nice to have a shorter cycle on a bad side month! On to August!!!

    pear / 1558 posts

BTW, I'll probably test next month on 8/24 if I haven't seen AF, as we'll be on vacation before that & I'm going to try & chill out during this next cycle's tww (& therefore not test as soon as I can). I am enjoying this board, too, but will keep an eye open for an August board once that gets going/we return from vacation.

@septca: I'm so sorry you are out. You kind of anticipated that, but it still stings a bit, I'm sure. I'm always thankful for short, but still normal length cycles. Silver linings.

@GoGoSnoGirl: we will be almost poas twins! Where are you going for vacation? I'd like to say I'm taking it easy this cycle too. Is that possible with clomid? Hahaha.

@dc yoga bee: what a funny phobia! You will just have to wait until the winter to visit me.

  17. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@MrsMcD: Hugs to you. I love how supportive your DH is being!!!

I *was* feeling pretty relaxed about this cycle...until just now. I knew that O would be coming pretty soon, but I hadn't gotten any lines on opks yet so I just hadn't thought about it. I hopped in bed with DH before he went to work today just for fun because it had been a few days.

Well, I tested again tonight and sure enough, positive OPK.

DH closes tonight and tomorrow night, and I have to go in early tomorrow so there isn't a chance of hitting tomorrow at all. I'm really hoping I'll have the slowest surge ever since we won't see each other at all until Tuesday night!

The opks seem so weird to me. I usually can gradually see them darken. They were light late last week, then went totally white yesterday and today, then suddenly, Bam!

  18. deactivated_account

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

@MaryM: I don't know anything about those kind of OPKs. So did you BD today? That should be good. Any chance of going in late tomorrow or calling in sick? If not, then you just have to deal with the Tuesday night. best of luck to you lady!!!

  19. organicmama

    cherry / 230 posts

@marym: You could also O tonight or in the a.m. in which case your timing would be perfect! Just throwing that out there

@mrsmcd: those are so pretty! We just had a new patio poured and are sprucing up the back yard. Although this crazy southern Texas weather might not treat them too well until spring. My car showed a brutal 106 degrees this afternoon!

  20. organicmama

    cherry / 230 posts

@marym: oh and one more thing... DH and I have this "thing" where if it's fertile week (or if he really just NEEDS to) and our schedules are out of whack, he will just DTD with me when he comes to bed. Or I wake him up early in the morning. It's not romantic at all, but it gets things done if ya know what I mean.

  21. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

    @MrsMcD: Love your plants!!

We did BD today, but I don't think it was "optimal" conditions. I didn't "finish," and I was on top...and didn't even think about throwing in an instead cup since I hadn't seen a line! But at least DH was getting ready for work so I did stay in bed lying down for about 15 minutes.

(did I really just share that many details with strangers on the internet?? lol)

But I'm glad I at least initiated that!

I usually have two days of + opks and then O, so I'm hoping for a late Tuesday O since this test wasn't + until this afternoon. Thankfully I don't have class this week or else we would have been even less likely of seeing each other.

Man, I miss when I was on a schedule where I Oed on the weekends!

  22. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@organicmama: He'll be home around 4 a.m. both nights. I'm pretty sure I do not want to be woken up then!!

I'm even more mad than I previously was at my boss that I have to be up early tomorrow. There's an event I have to cover, but she'll be there anyway. She won't actually do any work, she's just there to schmooze. But there's NO reason why she couldn't do the work I'm coming in early to do.

Maybe I'll plan to "sleep in" a little extra Tuesday morning and conveniently be running late that day...

    @MrsMcD: @septca: Awww, hugs!

I am counting myself as out. Temp was 97.something this morning, which is totally a follicular phase temp for me, and the bleeding was just too much. I am disappointed, but I had made my peace for the most part. DH has been out of town and getting home tonight. He is very intuitive, and texted this morning when I was bummed about my temp: "The energy in your uterus has felt different recently, like it is ready to be pregnant." I don't know if I buy it, but I am clinging to it, because I need some hope.

So that means I am on CD7. I am going out of town next week (CD16). Despite my conference, I am so tired of living in limbo with TTC, and DH and I are leaning toward either NTNP this cycle. I think I am going to focus on what is good for my health and my marriage- taking care of myself and frequent sex (not BD, but if it makes a baby, then great). So no temping, no worrying about CM, no conceive plus. I will continue acupuncture (next appointment is CD12), trying to eat healthy, exercise, meditate, etc.

In non TTC life: I have three more weeks before new job starts. This week's goal is to have the house the way I want it- mainly my bedroom, study, and basement. I have a cool conference Saturday which I am looking forward to, and a wedding Sunday. Next week I go visit friends for a week. My last week before the new job will be to relax and have fun.

Gosh, ladies, a busy day on here! I have peeked in on you from time to time but have been running around on a crazy weekend--nothing special, just too much to do and not enough time!

I am on CD13 I think and O should be coming some time this week. DH has been so busy that weekdays can be challenging but I am going to do my best to make it work!

    Lots to catch up on:
@PawPrints: sending sticky vibes to you! i hope that being 'pregnant today' gets you through these first weeks and thank you for your honesty. i am worried about the same skepticism when i get KU again post m/c.

@MrsMcD: @septca: sorry you are both out! hoping that august is it for you!

@MaryM: i will be hoping for a late 'o' for you to maximize your timing. what do you and DH do if you don't mind sharing? it must be hard having (what sound like) such opposite schedules!

@AmeliaBedilia: sorry you are officially out but glad you have a plan for the month. whatever you need to do to take care of yourself is best and we will support you no matter what you decide!

@Keppa: thanks for being willing to share about your decision to pursue counseling and good luck! as a therapist, i think therapy is great if the parties involved are willing to be open to the process and there is a good fit with the therapist. i hope you find what you need.

Arrrrgggghhhh. BFN! 11, 12, or 13 dpo (I'm thinking probably 12 dpo) Not giving up yet but I don't "feel" pg. No cramping. Just crickets in there. Kinda strange I don't have cramps since I always start cramping the week before AF. But I chalk the change up to clomid. Sigghhh. More waiting. And a follow up with RE on Thursday.

    CD 1 here.

Rather than feeling upset or discouraged, I am making the choice to be positive about this development - it means that a "bad side" cycle is over and a "good side" cycle is starting. It means the start of something new and I get to control how I feel about that.

I was in a pretty dark place re: TTC this last month and forced myself to stay away from the boards lest I spew my bitterness all over you lovely ladies. Instead, I went on vacation, drank a lot of wine, ate A LOT of raw seafood, and only charted CM and BD. It was wonderfully relaxing and I feel ready to start this cycle fresh. As I am REALLY F'ING SICK of TTC we are going all out this cycle and I am going to stick to the regimen that got me my sticky BFP - OPKs, BD ED starting at O-4, B Complex, soft cups, preseed, and royal jelly. I subscribe to the weekly texts from KSBJ. Just got this:
God, thank You for closed doors in my life. Others see missed opportunities, but I know You work things for my good. Rom 8:28 / KSBJ

He's working it all out for our good!

@MamaCate: I work in PR, and my DH is a bar/restaurant manager.

Sure enough, he got home this morning when I was getting up for work.

But I remembered I'm hoping to work from home tomorrow morning, so hopefully we can both sleep in together.

@organicmama: I still have my fingers crossed for you!

Brief check-in from my vacation. My temps are all over the pkace from time change and sleep disruptions. I'm also suspicious that my OPKs peaked due to flight and altitude dehydration/urine concentration rather than a true surge. Fortunately, I'm on vacation, so BD incessantly until whenever is more fun and practicable than usual . On the other hand, sex at 2500m elevation is a serious work out. I did not read up on altitude acclimation enough in advance.

    nectarine / 2192 posts

@organicmama: Great post, thanks! In the book I read each day, the daily reading for a day where AF came was about not trying so hard and things will come.

My temp was down this morning again. I feel a little nauseous, which is so frustrating! On the positive side- DH came home last night and was really sweet, and we are connecting really well. Also, it's restaurant week (many restaurants around us have a 3 course meal for $20.14, 25.14, or 30.14. I am trying to get to one of my favorite places this week that has a awesome menu, but due to DH's food allergies, he can't eat any of it, so I am trying to figure something out. First world problems.

@MrsMcD: we are going to NZ & I will likely O the day after we arrive, so I'm already trying to schedule BD'ing at the last moment before we depart (from home, that is, not in the airport!) & hoping we won't be completely jet lagged when we arrive to go again. Lol... So not really relaxed or spontaneous... But that's what the tww can be.

  36. AmeliaBedilia

    nectarine / 2192 posts

@GoGoSnoGirl: Wow, NZ! Awesome. Timing is so hard, but the idea of conceiving somewhere exotic is really cool! We had talked about TTC a few months earlier which would have given us the possibility of conceiving in Africa, but we weren't quite ready, and decided that with all the health risks, malaria meds, etc. that it wasn't a good idea. NZ is so much safer!

  37. GoGoSnoGirl

    pear / 1558 posts

@AmeliaBedilia: we were going to go to Africa this year, but thought NZ would be safer if I were pg. Jokes on us planning around TTC, right?? but yes, hoping this will do the trick!!

  38. GoGoSnoGirl

    pear / 1558 posts

@organicmama: I like that... And it is so much more positive than fighting against "closed doors". Having faith that it is all part of something bigger that we may not understand right now is challenging, but sometimes what helps get me through another day, week, month of TTC. (What is KSBJ, though... I am not familiar?)

Here's some nerdy info re Aug in the name of coming up with a title: Aug's full moon will be the "most super moon" meaning it will be this year's closest moon. It will be the Sturgeon Moon (not so catchy--those are scary fish!) & also said to be the "Moon When All Things Ripen" (Dakotah Sioux). Maybe we'll all "ripen" & pop out some beautiful babies!! ... Ok back to being productive.
