    @ms.line: I never thought I'd see my name listed as a BFP! ❤

    I totally understand needing to put things "on a shelf"- I've been there many times.

    @YogiRunner: I don't know much about follies size, is your RE concerned?

  2. YogiRunner

    clementine / 849 posts

    @Crystal: So typically they like to trigger when it reaches 18mm, and they grow 1-3 mm/day. So, my biggest one should have been 18-20 mm last night when I triggered, which is great. RE not concerned from what I know. I'm just bummed that more aren't mature to up my chances... I've heard most women have 2-3. I don't think my stragglers will catch up in time since they're only 11-12 mm. But my googling does give me plenty of ladies who only had one mature follicle and got their BFP, so I'll try to stay positive!

    @Crystal: yay! Hopefully one day I will see my name there too!

    @YogiRunner: it only takes 1 good egg, all your resources are going to make that one the best possible a lot of people get bfp with only 1 follie which is why I haven't changed from femara (have only had 1 each cycle). How are you doing with the Clomid? Any side effects?

  4. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

    @YogiRunner: I agree with @MrsKRB- it only takes one good egg! My fingers are crossed so hard for you!

    @MrsKRB: I have faith you will soon! ❤

    @Crystal: @MrsKRB: Thanks girls, I think I just needed to hear that. I think I'm just oversensitive after trying for so long, I assume any not-perfect news means the worst. But I'm done being a Negative Nellie

    As for the Clomid... last cycle i had zero side effects. This cycle, I had a recurring headache for 4 days, but no idea if that's the Clomid or not! So, generally doing great. Thankful that I don't have any of the mood swings, etc that can sometimes happen.

    @YogiRunner: When I got my follicular ultrasound done a few weeks ago, I was also bummed I didn't have more than one mature follicle. (Which was silly, because I wasn't even being medicated this cycle, but I just wanted MOAR follies). Obviously one was enough! I'm listening to an affirmations mp3 as I type this, so I'm familiar with being a Negative Nellie - it's often hard not to be. But you're doing everything you can, and we're all rooting for you!

    @YogiRunner: definitely rooting for you! I had it pretty easy with Clomid as well. Always thinking of you girls.

    @YogiRunner: I completely understand, I've been super negative lately. It's hard to get beat down so much and maintain a positive attitude.

    Headaches was one of the fun side effects I had with clomid. Ironically, I had more side effects on 50mg than I did on 100mg.

    It's been a rough day. You know during this journey you have good days and bad and today is certainly a bad. One of my co workers came in to visit with her baby and I had to go into the ladies room for a good cry
    This.is.so.hard.

    @LoveHope: oh hun, I'm so sorry! I feel your pain! One of my old work friends (who I see every couple months and KNOWS we are having trouble conceiving), just posted on FB that she is expecting her third in January and her 2nd child will be one in August. Umm..I would have appreciated being told and not through FB! We are all entitled to a good cry! Hugs

    @NorthStar: ughhh so unfair for us. The BFP's this month is really giving me hope.

  13. LibbyLou

    kiwi / 739 posts

    @LoveHope: hang in there! Even with my BFP this month I just had "one of those moments" this weekend.
    My DH is one of four boys, only one married. The youngest (same age as me) got some girl KU over a year ago and now we have a nephew. It's the first LO on that side. This weekend we were helping DH parents with their new computer and EVERY password was some variation of his name/birthdate. Every flipping picture was of BIL, Gf and nephew. Not one of us. I was so pissed, because I was suppose to have the first grandchild!!! Completely irrational, I'm glad the gf keeps my inlaws filled with pictures but made me realize that maybe these jealous feelings don't go away.
    Thinking of you. Have a drink, eat some blue cheese, ride a roller coaster. Xoxx

  14. LoveHope

    kiwi / 689 posts

    @LibbyLou: that's ok. Your totally entitled to feeling that way. You went through a lot before getting your BFP. Totally understandable. I may just have a little drink tonight

    @YogiRunner: I totally understand the negative vibe. It's hard to feel positive when you've got negative news so many times.

    DH and I both had rough days, and everything seems more stressful since I've been worried about the results. Then after dinner, DH checked his VM, and the lab left a message that his results are NORMAL! We should find out numbers tomorrow, but I'm so relieved. I just hope there's not something wrong with me that the tests couldn't find. While I'm not sure I O'd due to temperature issues, if I assume the most likely date, I'm 10DPO. Stay away AF!

  16. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

    @AmeliaBedilia: that's WONDERFUL!!! Yay!!! Please keep us updated on numbers!

    @LoveHope: I absolutely still have bad days. The day I received my BFP and told a friend, she shared some mutual friends are always expecting. As much as I want to be happy for them, my initial thoughts are jealousy and upset at the unfairness. I have a hard time being happy for people who haven't struggled. I hope to someday work past it, but for right now, I just can't. It's all too fresh in my mind, and I doubt I'll ever lose the memories of the difficulty.

    So, let yourself cry and drink a little. (Or a lot!)

    @LoveHope: I'm sorry. The bad days suck, really, really, suck. But one day we all will hopefully have a really, really good day.
    @NorthStar: Arg. I officially started blocking everyone on my FB with a newborn that posts on FB or who is pregnant. The second I see it, before I can read anything, I have to block it. And then think about some beer or liquor. The annoying thing is that I discovered when a FB friend comments on a picture posted by the blocked individual, that picture still shows up. I never thought I would be that person, I just can't handle it right now.
    @AmeliaBedilia: Hooray for you!

  18. LoveHope

    kiwi / 689 posts

    @auggiefrog: I actually stayed away from fb and instagram because of that. It was too hard for me to see everyone posting photos of their baby bumps. I've been happier since. I'm sure I'll get back on fb someday but for now I need to eliminate the things that's getting me down. I totally understand.

  19. ms.line

    @AmeliaBedilia: Yay! That's great news!

    @auggiefrog Agreed, I have everyone who is pregnant or has a baby hidden from my Facebook feed! It's just too much.

    @LibbyLou: I missed congratulating you! So excited for you! Happy and healthy 9 months. I get every bit of your irrational jealousy thing. Thankfully there are a lot of IF graduates who can relate on HB!

    @AmeliaBedilia: Fabulous news about the normal SA! I hope you can ride the waves of this month's BFP wave. No whammies!

    Thanks to all for the job congrats, though I wish you were congratulating me on something else. (@Crystal: I'm an architect. Yay for the economy coming back around!)

    @2farmmoms, @auggiefrog, @MrsKRB, @northstar, @ballerinabee, @amommythang: Wishing you so much luck and support as you wait it out these next few days and week! I'll be thinking of you from afar.

    @LoveHope: I, too, can completely relate to having a bad day. I was doing fine ignoring the whole IF thing but yesterday was tough. It was pretty much all about IF (RE follow-up, urology appointment, "the talk" with my parents where they felt inclined to bring up adoption) and I feel pretty icky and worn out with it all this morning. An emotional hangover, I guess.

    Vacation starts tomorrow! Best wishes to all.

    @LoveHope: Ugh I hear you on the rough days. I feel I am very depressed with TTC. It's nice to have this board to talk to each other.

    I am begging my body to O! Ugh. I was supposed to O yesterday which would have been perfect since we managed to BD 3 days in a row over the weekend. This doesn't usually happen! But I still haven't O'd! Back to BD tonight. Why can't this process be easier?!
    Good luck to any ladies testing this week. Hope to See more BFPs!!

  24. NorthStar

    pear / 1881 posts

    @AmeliaBedilia: I had to pop in to say YAY for normal results!! I hope that AF stays away too and you get a BFP soon

    @delight: I agree! Why does this whole process need to be draining and SO hard?? I hope you O today. What kind of tests are you using to confirm or are you temping?

    @Amorini: Enjoy your vacation!

    I'm only 6DPO IUI so will need to figure out when I can safely test without getting a false positive from the trigger. I think that I'll try next Tuesday. 13 days past IUI should be safe, huh?

    @delight: I hate when O doesn't cooperate! Hope you can keep up the bd'ing!

    @NorthStar: the past 2 cycles my trigger has been out by 10dpiui.

    @Amorini: thanks! Congrats on the new job also. I start mine next Wednesday, the 1st. While I'm of course really hoping I'll be pregnant, it will be very awkward to tell them in a couple months that I got pregnant the same month I was interviewing for the job! Oh well, can't predict timing.

    I'm 11 dpIUI today. Yesterday my temp was down about .1, usually the beginning of the steady drop to AF, but today it's back up .2. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much. I almost POAS this morning but didn't think I was ready to see a BFN, didn't want my last "weekend" day to be ruined. So I'm still holding out. I figure by the time we have guests in town for a BBQ Saturday night I'll know if I can drink or not.

    @Amorini: aside from the adoption thing, how'd the talk with the parents go? That was definitely one of the hardest days for me (plus all the well intentioned but hurtful comments made since).

    @NorthStar: FX for you!

    @2farmmoms: hopefully that's the sign of good things to come! And I wouldn't worry about the job thing too much.

    @delight: few things are more frustrating then O being off! I hope you O soon!

  29. delight

    pomelo / 5326 posts

    @NorthStar: OPKs and temping. I had a pretty dark OPK yesterday but I don't think it was quite positive. I'll test again In a few hours.
    @2farmmoms: good luck to you. I hope you get your BFP this weekend!!

    @Crystal: thanks! I'm not too worried about the job, and I am glad I switched before I got pregnant because I would've felt very stuck had I gotten pregnant while in the old job that I hated. Maybe this change was what I needed.
    @delight: thanks! Same to you! I hope you O soon. I've been lucky so far that I O very consistently within a couple of days, which I'm so thankful for given that I have to organize everything with our donor!

    A friend of mine who just started ttc, and who knows we are going through fertility treatments, is trying to teach me how to chart my cycles. I don't know whether to laugh or cry, haha.

  32. auggiefrog

    kiwi / 631 posts

    @MrsKRB: Arg. I love that they think it is that easy. Sorry you have to deal with this.
    @2farmmoms: FX that the rise in temps is a good sign.
    @Amorini: Have fun on your vacation!

    8DPO here. Besides my temps being up, which could totally be due to the fact that it has been in the 80's here for the past few days (and I am a stingler with the A/C), I really have no hope for a BFP. I've always gotten a lot of early symptoms. Besides some nipple pain, which I'm pretty sure is in my head, I've got nothing. I hope this week goes by quickly.

    DH is getting his first SA friday, thank goodness. There's one tiny issue though. We are supposed to abstain from BDing 2 days prior to the SA and I just got my LH surge this morning. I'm wondering if that will totally mess is up this cycle.

  35. MrsKRB

    nectarine / 2465 posts

    @LoveHope: do you usually ovulate the next day after your surge? If you ovulate after Wednesday, I would see if you can reschedule the SA, otherwise you should be fine.

    @auggiefrog: fx!

  36. NorthStar

    pear / 1881 posts

    @LoveHope: I would totally reschedule the SA for early next week, if that's possible. You definitely don't want to miss out on quality BD time!

  37. LoveHope

    kiwi / 689 posts

    @NorthStar: I think I will have to reschedule... Ughhh lol
    Better to be safe than sorry.
    @MRSKRB: I usually do but I guess you never know. My body does what it wants when it wants.

    @MrsKRB: lol oh how I LOVE when n00bs try to give me TTC advice.

    @lovehope: I'd reschedule that SA!

    @MrsKRB: omg! I haven't encountered this yet, mostly because nearlyaall of my friends conceived on the first try. Most of them haven't ever charted.
