Trying to process some news this week and looking for positive stories!

I went to my annual GYN appointment first of Jan and had my pap. Came back abnormal and had a colposcopy two weeks later. I got the call this week that I have a high grade lesion and will have to have a LEEP in a few weeks. I can handle that news and am honestly not that worried about the procedure even though it will be my first time under general anesthesia. What I'm most upset about is that my dr told me we will need to wait a year after the LEEP to TTC. We have one adorable DD that is 20 months and we were hoping to start trying in March after an anniversary trip. I've read online some people wait 6 months, some just 4 weeks to heal before TTC. I obviously would rather wait than risk any further health issues but I'm in such a funk about letting go of having another baby this year/first next year, a longer age gap I envisioned and also the horror stories I've googled about LEEPs causing complete infertility (step away from Google). I'm an otherwise healthy 30 year old with no issues during my first pregnancy or delivery.

I found some older LEEP posts but wanted to see if anyone else out there is dealing with anything similar. Thanks!
