There's a car seat stroller and a car seat base that I could give her. (Car seat base is not expired and won't be for a while.) I think I'm going to switch to convertible car seats soon.
Do I ask her if she wants my used items first? Is it etiquette to ask first?
I'm going to buy her something, too.

Sure! Just tell her you have the items she has on her registry and they are all hers if she wants hand me down.

I'd ask her first if she wants hand-me-downs. Otherwise she may think it's a little odd getting a wrapped used gift at her shower. And I'd probably still bring her a gift I bought off the registry.

I would love if someone offered me a hand-me-down of an item from my registry (either the exact thing I wanted or something similar). I would just ask if she wants it and make it clear it's a good condition item that you just aren't using anymore- she can accept or decline whatever she wants. You're sweet for wanting to pass stuff along!

As a hand-me-down giver I would ask, and as a reciever, I would love that!! Car seat bases and strollers get expensive!

I would be happy to receive hand me downs (and got a bunch from my sister and SIL). I would just be clear about if you want them back or not- I know sometimes people would rather new so they can keep t for multiple kids and not worry if it gets ruined, if you would want it back after.

I would have been happy to receive the exact same item- brand & color- used from my registry. Definitely ask her if she wants them.
