You should check out the dinosaurs at the academy of natural sciences--if he is into dinos, it is AWESOME (they move and make noises). I'm not a huge TJ's shopper, but I love their frozen meatballs, frozen fried rice, frozen quinoa and veggie mix, their dried fruit/nut mixes, and pretty much any of the desserts (cookie butter, mmm).

I don't have a TJs but the hive made me a list last year and some of my favorites- pickle popcorn, sriracha chips, black bean dip- really just a case of pickle popcorn.

I love the frozen pot pies--there is a beef & stout one, and a chicken curry one.
I also love their crackers--there are these fig & olive ones that are great for holiday gatherings.
They probably don't have it this time of year but the dill pickle popcorn is also great.

Frozen chicken tacos, prepared guac, sweet Thai chili sauce, frozen shu mai, various trail mixes, cookie tubs (lots of varieties)
They also have pigs in a blanket called Parmesean Pups that are a great, easy app. -

These suggestions are awesome, keep 'em coming! When we lived in Philly, we lived less than 5 miles from a TJs, but we never took advantage. Kicking myself for it!!

Dried pineapple rings and dried unsweetened mango, dark chocolate covered pretzels, their non-organic tomato basil marinara is my fave, their chicken sausages are all good, their reduced sugar jams, their sunblock is really good, olive oil is good and cheap, black bean dip, coconut cream, roasted pepper bisque in the box, their mayo is the only one I will eat, frozen panko tilapia, frozen French green beans, their petite peas, turkey corn dogs, frozen gnocchi alla sorrentina, potstickers and mini wontons, really cheap frozen wild salmon, the frozen mashed potato and mashed sweet potato pucks, really cheap and good chocolate chips and chunks, their frozen pizza olympiad.

I've never actually had it - but the cookie butter is non perishable and I bet it's amazing. Also, those white round ball powdered sugar holiday cookies, I usually don't care for those when I see them on a cookie platter - well TJ's has their own version this year and they are FANTASTIC!!!

Their dill pickles in a jar are my favorite. We go monthly and I usually get 3-4 jars.
I also like their chicken sausage, marinated artichokes in a jar, Mac n cheese frozen diner style, frozen eggplant cutlets, and frozen Indian dinners. -
Cookie butter, pumpkin scone mix (might be out of season right now) and frozen macaroons.

Yikes, we shop almost exclusively at TJs so I'm gonna go by our aisles here and skip produce:
Pizza dough, Pesto, vodka pasta sauce, white shell mac and cheese, their 21 seasoning blend, biscotti, candy covered sunflowers, strawberry licorice, frozen hash brown patties, garlic naan, orange chicken, chicken fried rice, microwave jasmine rice, any free dried fruit you like, mango fruit leathers.Cocobon wine, and get recs for more wine from them. Very affordable and very good. Local beer.
Skip their premade stuff like wraps and sandwiches. They've never been good!

Their kettle corn is sooo good. It's so addicting.
They also make these trail mix cookies that I love. I always pick up some goddess dressing when I'm there as well. Goes well with everything aas salad or as a marinade. -

Pine nuts are a good price there. LO love the cereal bars. I really like their mushroom/wild rice risotto. I love TJs.
