My husband and I have just started TTC. This is my first cycle off BC. I used Clearblue Easy OPKs and on 11/5 I got a smiley face. I had cramping the following 2 days, which I assume was ovulation. I was supposed to get my period yesterday, but so far nothing! I am having menstrual cramps off and on for the past 3 days. I know my body is probably just getting used to being off the pill, but I am considering testing this weekend if AF hasn't shown up. Do you think there is a chance I am pregnant? I haven't been feeling like myself all month. Tired, dizzy, nauseous after eating. I know it's unlikely I am pregnant the first try, but a girl can hope!

I got period like cramps and found out I was preggers, so its a possibility. If you are late, you can test for sure!

@arielle9510: you must've just been inside my brain. LOL DH and I are NTNT, and I'm 4 days late. Cramping, sore breasts, but no period. I'm not getting my hopes up because I just got off BC last month because it was giving me irregular periods (2x a month)... so I'm assuming it's just a matter of time...

I had period like cramps off and on from about 10 days after ovulation until I was about 7 weeks pregnant. If you are late this weekend, test!
(I should say that the first month I went off the pill, I had lots of cramps off and on that whole month. So, it could be that, too.)

cramps can also be an early sign of pregnancy so i agree with previous posters to wait a few days and then take a pregnancy test.

It definitely could be a sign! I got lots of weird cramps right before we got a BFP.

My first month off of BC I was like that too. I was really thinking I was possibly PG, but eventually AF came. (this was just last month), eneded up just being my body all out of whack, still feeling weird and think my body is still adjusting. Could be either. Time will tell but a lot (not all) have a weird first cycle or more and body takes time to adjust coming of BC especially if you were on it for sometime and depending on the type of BC.

I am in the same boat! I am 14dpo today which is super rare for me. Typically only 9-11 day max LP's. My boobs have been killing me the last few days and the cramping is different than typical period cramps. I tested last night and got a BFN and again this morning with the same results. I'm waiting until Tuesday to test again, but I seriously feel knocked up!

I had a lot of weird cramps this past cycle, but no AF and no BFP. I thought something bizarre was going on...turns out I was just super stressed out, and the cramps were my body gearing up for a delayed AF.

I send you lots of baby dust, but I thought I'd let you know that the same exact thing happened to me last month, and my period eventually came three days later. So don't get your hopes up too high, but I hope you get a surprise!

There's def a chance your pregnant! I got pregnant my 2nd cycle off of BC, and that was after 10 years of being on it pretty much non-stop. A lot of the symptoms could just be your body adjusting to being without BC, but menstrual like cramps and fatigue were my first symptoms so I tested and BFP!!! Good luck!

That was my first sign as well! I'm now 9 weeks in and STILL getting period cramps, albeit to a milder extent than those first few weeks, but apparently cramps is a very common early pregnancy sign. Don't count yourself out until you either get your BFP or AF arrives. Good luck!

Oh my goodness, this is me right now! I figured since I'm feeling crampy and my period's about due that meant that I'm not preggers. ...But NOW, I will hold onto hope, and if it doesn't show up in the next few days, I'm going to take my test. Thanks for the hope, bees!

Still no sign of AF. Didn't even have cramps today. Wow my body is out of whack. I'm going to test in the am so I'll keep you all posted! Really I'm just hoping to get AF tomorrow so I can start cycle 2....

I wouldn't give up hope. Definitely my first sign of pregnancy as well -- baby was a surprise, I was late, and I kept thinking "but I *can't* be pregnant because I have cramps so clearly period is coming...." They don't necessarily last 24/7, so even going away for a bit may not mean anything. Anyway, good luck!

Im in the same boat,minus the BC. Im having period cramps,and am now 3-4 days late. I tested on friday and got 2 BFNs,but Im thinking if it continues into next week, I might test again around tuesday/wednesday time so I would be about a week late then.

Ok so here's an update. Woke up with seriously annoying cramps but tested anyway BFN. I guess I'll just have to wait it out until AF comes although I may test again in a week if it hasn't come yet. Wow! I never really understood the crazy mind games TTC plays on you!

@arielle9510: yup,it messes with your head big time!lol, since my BFNs on fridayI feel really bleugh,and down and I just dont want to do anything. And now I dont know if it is because AF is on her way, or if it is because of the negative tests. ugh,who knows?!

Arielle, TTC is playing crazy mind games with me too! Which defeats the "try to relax" motto. There's still a chance, sometimes it takes a bit for the hormones to register on the test! Hopefully next week will prove that right

I am 8 days late today and 2 BFNs later... frustrated with this waiting game. I wasn't expecting any BFPs, I'd just like my period so I can start temping and getting a handle on my cycle.

I had some spotting yesterday and a couple days ago as well. I thought this would mean I'd wake up with AF, but no such luck. Do you think it could be implantation bleeding or two late for that? I O'd around 13-14 days ago.

I took a test this am and BFN once again. I still haven't gotten my period and now I'm not really feeling any menstrual symptoms. Do you think that spotting was my period? Ugh this is so frustrating!

@Arielle - the spotting could have been implantation bleeding (some women get this around the time the egg implants). If you don't get your period in another 3-5 days, you may want to test again.

I have also been having mild cramps since ovulation (5DPO) which is weird for me. I usually only cramp a day or two before my period which isn't due until next week. Here's hoping that is a sign of something positive!
