I never get period cramps, but I've had cramping off and on this week. It's always on the right side low. Is that a period cramp?

Maybe? It could be almost anything though! My period cramps are usually in the center of my lower abdomen.

If it's concentrated on one side that sounds more like ovulation pain to me.

@MamaMoose: I usually get ovulation cramps higher and I'm past O.

Sounds like normal early pregnancy cramping. LO is just settling in.
ETA: For some reason I thought you already had your bfp, lol. It's a good sign, if you haven't had it, yet! It could be implantation.

For me it is different from cycle to cycle. Sometimes it is a dull ache all over and sometimes it is intense and very centered.

@littlek: Then in that case it definitely could be implantation cramping.

My AF cramping is like a dull ache all the way across my abdomen, from hip to hip. Sometimes if it gets bad it feels like a squeezing sensation in the middle, slightly over to the left as my uterus lies slightly that way. It doesn't sound like what you are describing.

AF cramping to me is more in the middle, ovulation on one side, and implantation on one side but lower good luck!

it varies so much for me, sometimes in center abdomen, sometimes it's back and sometimes it's like a muscle ache from my back to my thighs.
crossing fingers for you!!

I get period cramps in my lower back...not in my abdomen. But it usually feels like a dull ache, or if they're really bad, just an ache. My implantation/pregnancy aches so far have been in my abdomen and feel more like stretching/pulling.

@littlek: NEVER had period cramps? Oh my, you are a lucky lady!! I had them so bad in my teens/early 20's that I thought I was dying.

@littlek: Wow. You are just the luckiest! I'm guessing that if you've never had cramps and you're having them now, that's a darn good sign!! How many DPO are you??

@littlek: hoping to hear some good news from you soon!!! I never got period cramps until I had LO. When people told me early labor felt like period cramps x100 I was like "what's a period cramp feel like???" Now I get bad back pain and abdominal cramping since having LO
