Probably somewhere for our anniversary in October and likely a trip to see the inlaws at Thanksgiving. We don't have the budget for a trip right now. I'm counting my upcoming sleep study as a vacation night away from the kids.

We're on vacation right now on cape cod . We have a baby due in August, so no travel for a while after that!

@Happygal: Then you probably know Grand Lake My parents moved up there a few years ago from mid-MI. It's beautiful, but sure is hard to get to for a visit!

We are going to Myrtle Beach, SC right after Labor Day. Work has been crazy busy, and I'm so looking forward to the time off! DD will be 1 then, and it will be her first time in the ocean.

Going to New Mexico in July and a weekend at a resort in Austin in August. I'm also doing a long weekend in NY in October to visit my bff and her newborn.

@Meow: your pics remind me of my honeymoon. We love Kauaii!

We have no official plans for a vacation. I've decided not to go with DH to our friends' wedding in Northern California. I was very much looking forward to going, but my newborn will only be @15 weeks and I don't want to make that trek with 2 kids, nor am I ready to leave them.

This summer we're planning long weekends at my parents' shore home.

Nope! Money is tight so we probably won't go anywhere until both kids are older. We do have a few trips in mind but we will have to take time saving up for each.

@Tanjowen: We had the best family vacay in Maui!! Enjoy!

We just came back from Taiwan in May - nothing else planned for the year. Maybe we'll do a local beach vacation towards the end of summer/early fall.

@mrswilson2012: that's a trip we're thinking about doing in the next year or two! Like maybe a layover in Korea for a few days, then head on over to Thailand.

We're planning for a trip in August but still haven't figured out the details. I would be happy with DH taking the week off and going on non-stop adventures in nearby cities.

We have two cottages in the family and will go to each for a week this summer. That doesn't cost us anything though. Our next real vacation will be in March when we go to Florida.

@Happygal: Red Ginger downtown is fabulous and my personal favorite (Asian fusion). They take reservations and many of these do not--hop online and book early. The calamari is to die for and I am not an adventurous eater. I also really enjoy The Towne Plaza, a couple blocks from downtown. Harrington's by the Bay and Apache Trout Grille are west of town.

On Old Mission Peninsula, Jolly Pumpkin is wonderful (all the restaurants on the peninsula are). If you really want to splurge, Boathouse is fantastic and right on the water. The service and the food are well worth the $$$.

North Peak and Blue Tractor are classics, but laid back and kid friendly so we usually don't save for dates. Message me if you're looking for anything else!

@lamariniere: your vacations make me drool for days. That is all.

I don't know if/when we will go this summer. I just got back from 10 days in Salt Lake City and a week in London, both for work. I'll be glad to be home for a while!

DH and LO are going to the beach in Sept. with my FIL while I go on another research trip to London. It's nice to go over there, but it's also really expensive. We have to recover from that before going anywhere else.

We go to Maine with family for a week two weeks from now, home for two weeks, then a week in VT with friends. Not sure when our next non-driving just our family vacation will be. Maybe next February.
