I'm trying to ground myself here but I'm just not getting a good vibe from my OB office. This is a twin pregnancy (not that that means super high-risk) so in my mind I feel like I should have more visits and u/s done. My next appt is at 12 weeks (last appt was 8 was and a few days) and I was told no further u/s's until 20 weeks! I originally had the appt with a NMW but changed it to a doc instead.
I also have a consult with maternal fetal medicine doc at 13 weeks....so I know I'll see more then.
Was I spoiled working with a RE for so long? Do I just need to CTFD? How often should twins be monitored in your experience?

I had quite a few ultrasounds with my RE, and I had 4 with my OB- to confirm, my NT scan, my anatomy scan, and one more to check growth at around 30 weeks. I was (in my opinion) lucky that I had a laid back doctor who told me that I didn't even really need to do more appointments- many docs have you start coming weekly pretty early with twins, but mine didn't, which was great because then I didn't have to take any time off work.
If I were you, I'd talk to the doc about why they're not doing more ultrasounds, and what you could do to get more if that's what you need. I don't want to say CTFD because I know the feeling that you have after working with an RE, but sometimes you might need to.

I only saw an OB during my twin pregnancy. I had monthly appointments for the first half of my pregnancy. I didn't have an u/s every month, but pretty regularly. I know I did at 8 weeks (dating u/s), 12 weeks, 16 weeks and 20 weeks ... gets hazy after that. Once I was in the third trimester, I had to start going every two weeks and then every week for the last six weeks or so. I do remember it was a LOT of visits after the entire pregnancy was done.
Definitely talk to your doctor about their approach to u/s and why/why not to do more.

Yup, going from a RE and their weekly u/s, I did feel spoiled when I went to my OB and they hardly saw me. I had the option of seeing an MFM but I stayed with my OB. I figured if my OB was worried she would send me to an MFM. I wanted to try to remain calm so I trusted my OB. Plus, with all of the previous RE appointments, I liked not having to see a dr every week. Oh, I did have HG so I was struggling to go to work everyday so trying to go to work and actually do work.
I did end up having some pregnancy complications but my OB made sure I saw the MFM when it was needed. Looking back, my pregnancy complications were something that I didn't cause. As with all multiple pregnancies, I did have a higher risk of complications. Which was true for me. I am thankful that my twins were born healthy after the complications I had.
