@sslm: No symptoms here either...just sore boobies and some cramping periodically, although that's lessened over the last few days. I'm actually considering doing another pregnancy test tomorrow juuust to make sure I"m still pregnant, since I really don't feel any different...silly, I know!
I'm jealous you're going so soon! I still have to wait another 3 weeks for mine.

No big symptoms for me either. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm around 5 weeks. Just have very sensitive nips, tired and bloated. I read in one of my apps last night that it's normal to not feel symptoms at this point. That made me feel a little better.

@mrskc: I've heard that as well...apparently morning sickness hits a lot of people at 6 weeks--that's next Tues/Weds for me, so I guess we'll see!

@mrskc: @hilsy85: hey ladies - feel like i'm in a similar boat --- not too many symptoms. I'm about 6w3d according to LMP.... Very sore bbs still, tired, light cramping (comes & goes) occasionally feel a wave of nausea, then it's gone.... waiting for week 7 or 8 when it will likely kick in!

had a very little bit of light brownish spotting this morning - but it went away. keeping an eye on it... haven't had any kind of spotting since i found out i was pg up until this point

@hellobeeboston: Just watch. We're all going to be eating our words in a couple of weeks. My DH thinks I'm crazy wishing for M/S. haha

@hilsy85: My boobs are definitely changing. Maybe a little bigger and very tender! I also notice they look different too.

My morning sickness hit right around 6 weeks, so don't worry, it's probably coming for all of you soon :o) I haven't been throwing up (well just one time, but after I took a prenatal vitamin), I just feel like I have waves of motion sickness. It's actually gotten a little better in the last week. I've been taking B6 to combat it.

I haven't really noticed bigger boobs yet, but I'm already an E/F cup, so I really really hope that I miss that sympton completely!

well, i think it might be here.... the past few days I've noticed a change. I was starving all of the time, craving all kinds of foods (especially chipotle) and now the thought of food (esp. chipotle) is making my stomach turn. I feel less nauseous when I eat and have eaten, but thinking about what food to actually eat makes me feel sick.

it seems to be worse at night when i get home. I have too much saliva (ugh, sorry) -- and the last two nights when I got in bed I had to keep myself from throwing up.

i'll be 7 weeks tomorrow.... guess the M/S is finally here

@hellobeeboston: I'm starting to get M/S too! I'm actually excited about it. haha

Yesterday morning, my hubby ate pot stickers for breakfast, and the smell of them made me gag. He had to eat them in the guest room. lol This morning I felt nauseous right when I got out of bed, and felt it come and go throughout the morning. I even gagged a few times, and thought I was going to puke. Lovely. After I ate breakfast and got some fresh air, I felt much better. Just had lunch and haven't felt nauseous since this morning. I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow.

Ah I'm kind of jealous of you ladies (I know I should be biting my tongue right now!). I haven't had any nausea, although I did have my first food aversion--I had a hummus and avocado sandwich yesterday and all of a sudden itstarted to really gross me out, and now the thought of either of those foods is yucky.

Well ladies, I've been outed by one of my work buddies. I got a call from my OB to schedule my nuchal translucency screening test. When I came back, she asked me to come over to her cube and asked if I had another job. I told her no and she was like, well something is up b/c you keep getting calls and taking them in other rooms. So, I broke down and told her.
We've told a few people now, but I wanted to avoid work b/c I hadn't told my manager yet. I totally trust her, but now I feel like I need to tell my manager sooner than later.

When are ya'll planning on telling work? I'll be 9 weeks on Saturday. We're planning on telling our friends in a few weeks when I hit 11 weeks.

@CarrieLouWho: I've told two coworkers that I trust. We talk a lot about our personal lives, so it would have been really hard to keep it a secret, especially since they knew I was trying to get pregnant. I won't tell my boss until we hit 12 weeks and I know everything is ok with the baby.

@CarrieLouWho: I told my boss one of the first people since I was getting sick. I wanted him to know I wasn't playing sick or on my death bed. It's kind of normal around here to let them know right away so they can make it more comfortable...and that he did! Made the last couple weeks so much easier!

  18. hilsy85

    squash / 13764 posts

@CarrieLouWho: We haven't told anyone at our respective jobs, or anyone, period, other than our parents and siblings. I'll probably tell my friends after our doctor's appointment in 2 weeks, but I'm definitely not telling work until I'm out of the 1st trimester. More because I want to put off that awkward conversation as long as possible! I'm also not close to anyone at work (only started about 4 months ago) so I haven't been tempted to tell anyone.

Just checking in here with everyone We had our first U/S last week at 5w4d and the little sac was growing right on schedule. Next one is next Wednesday at 7w4d and I am dying of impatience for it to get here! I have definite food aversions (lots of them) and usually can only think of 1 or 2 things that sound good (if that) at any given time. I'm also having trouble staying awake past 8pm…which is so not like me! I love it

    Our dating ultrasound is tomorrow!!

@hilsy85: Thanks! I feel so out of the loop over here so I'm trying to catch up

We haven't told our works yet either, we'll probably wait until about 12 weeks and let them think that I'm just getting a little chubby until then. Has anyone had their bloat go away yet? Mine feels like it's here to stay!

  23. mrskc

    bananas / 9357 posts

@Running Elley: My bloat is terrible! It starting to never go away. First thing in the morning it's ok, but as the day progresses my belly gets bigger and bigger. I don't button my pants anymore. I use a hair tie to hold it closed. lol

I'm 6 weeks today. M/S has started. I feel a bit queasy through out the day, but it's not too bad. I'm super tired all day even though I'm getting plenty of sleep every night.

  24. Running Elley

    coconut / 8681 posts

@mrskc: I cannot stand to wear pants anymore lol. I tried the hairband trick but even the pressure of the constricting pants makes my nausea worse I've been living in dresses and leggings!

  25. mrskc

@Running Elley: Unfortunately, with my job, I wear jeans everyday. Even with them unbuttoned, they start to feel uncomfortable by the end of the day.

  26. Running Elley

    coconut / 8681 posts

@mrskc: Ahhhh! I feel so bad for you! Right now jeans are the worst offender to me lol, I don't see myself wearing them again until I give in to maternity clothes.

  27. mrskc

    bananas / 9357 posts

@Running Elley: I have one of those belly band things from Target that I tried w/ my first pregnancy, but I found it to be annoying. I did buy some maternity jeans that I wore w/ my first pregnancy. I might have to get those out. They were soooo comfortable. Although I felt ridiculous wearing them in the first trimester. lol

  28. Running Elley

    coconut / 8681 posts

@mrskc: I was going to ask if you'd tried the band. I never have but it seems like it would be uncomfortable I have a pair of work maternity pants that my mom bought for me for my first pregnancy and I wore them yesterday and they were so comfortable but they make the bloat really obvious so I wore my coat all day to avoid questions, I was scared!

We had our u/s today. I measured 6w1d with a heart beat of 92. That's a week behind what I thought, and a lower end of normal HB... so I am a little concerned, but trying to stay positive!

  34. hilsy85

    squash / 13764 posts

@sslm: But that's great that you saw/heard(?) the heartbeat! When is your next appt?

  35. sslm

    cantaloupe / 6397 posts

@hilsy85: That's what the tech said, the important thing is she could detect a heartbeat! My next appointment will be with the midwife on the 21st. I'm worried about waiting so long for our next steps.

  36. hilsy85

    squash / 13764 posts

@sslm: Yeah, understandable...so you'll be like 9/10 weeks at that point? Can they get you in a week earlier? Fingers crossed that everything works out ok, which I'm sure it will

@SSLM: I know it's hard not to worry but at my first ultrasound the baby only measured 6w2d and they didn't say the hr. I had irregular periods but with their measurements I would have had to test positive at 3w/3w1d or more likely the baby was measuring small. Just went in Wednesday at 11w1d and listened to the HB and it was in the 160s I think (I peeked she didn't say) and the doctor said it was great. So I looked up more info before my appt and had learned hat early measurements can be a few days or so off! I will be thinking of you and of course I'm hoping and thinking e measurements were just a bit off! Also I read that sometimes when they give you the hr at that time they're counting and it's an estimate. Hope this helps.

@googly-eyes: Thank you sooo much for posting. This makes me feel so much better. I have irregular periods too, and the same thing, I would have tested positive around 3 weeks for this date to be real. Thanks again, this really does make me feel a lot better.

Thinking about you @SSLM! I was behind on my dates by about 1/2 a week as well b/c my cycles were long. Crossing my fingers for a great appointment on the 21st!!!

@SSLM: You're welcome! I think it's somewhat common to measure a little off in the beginning. Be thinking about you and your LO.
