Do your kids order their own food when you go out to eat or do you order it for them?
We have one local place that LO1 always orders from because he knows exactly what he wants. The manager is also super sweet and also already knows his order so usually has it started for us right away, but still comes over to take LO's order. 
Other places we don't frequent, we just order for the kids.

My 3.5 year old orders for himself. He also likes to help pay. The baby obviously doesn't talk yet, but I will encourage him to order for himself once he is old enough.

Lo1 will usually tell the waiter herself what she wants, immediately before the waiter is even ready to take our order 
the waitstaff usually confirms with us that we actually want to order it haha

It's hit or miss if she wants to right now at 2.5. We encourage her to order but don't make it a battle if she doesn't want to. Depending on the name of the dish and how clearly she says it we will have to repeat it to the waiter though.

He's 2.5 and we try to have him order. I'd say he does 80% of the time.

He's 3.5 and we still order for him. He's really shy with strangers so we haven't pushed him to order yet.

My son orders his own meal, sometimes, I do order his beverage though, to not waste too much time.

My kiddos normally just eat off our plate, but we do inquire what they'd like to eat and take it into consideration. We order though. My kids are 3.5 and 1.

It depends on where we are/ her mood. If she is feeling hangry or shy I will just get her something I know she'll like, otherwise she orders
