I got a hidden valley garden onion dip mix packet for free from the store and I don't want to use it to make dip. I can't find any creative uses for it when googling so I thought I'd turn to the hive!! Anyone have any creative cooking uses for the dip packet? I know lots of things to do with a ranch packet, but not so sure with garden onion dip. Thanks ladies!

I've used them for both a crock pot roast & also for meatball seasoning.

@GoGoSnoGirl: Oh meatballs... tell me more! How did you use them? Just added in with the meat and plain bread crumbs? What kind of sauce?
ETA: I have some ground turkey. I bet that would be yummy.

Mix it into cream cheese, then spread the cream cheese on crescent dough and then bake?
I might also use it as a seasoning for rice or mashed potatoes.

@GoGoSnoGirl: @travellingbee: similar to meatballs I use onion soup mix in meatloaf - just add it in with the bread crumbs and eggs

Chicken breast, stock, can of creme of chicken, dip mix, 1 block of cream cheese on low 5-7 hrs
Serve over egg noodles -

Its my fave to make roasted potatoes with! Get small red potatoes, leave the skins on and quarter them, then mix the packet with some olive oil and coat the potatoes. Roast in the oven, they are SO yummy.

@travellingbee: I think I misremembered, it was a meatloaf--but I've made meatballs out of meatloaf recipes, too, so either would probably work! I likely used a jarred chunky tomato spaghetti sauce. Here's the recipe I bookmarked.

Crock pot roast, toss with oil and cut up potatoes for roasted onion potatoes (SO GOOD), mix into hamburgers.
