I've tried to get him to, but he refuses. I have some really fun memories of playing in the rain as a kid.

I completely hate being out in the rain, but lo has always begged to go out and splash in the puddles and all that (thanks peppa pig!) Once she was maybe 2.5ish I let her and she loved it so much that I try to let her every once in a while. She was so cute and talks about it all the time so it's worth it. I do it on an afternoon we're not doing anything else and dress her in old clothes and boots and raincoat and let her go nuts.

Yes, rain is rare here but we all have boots and rain gear so we can spend as much time playing in it as possible.

Yes, her preschool lets them play out in any weather and it rains a lot here. Thanks to that, she doesn't specifically ask to play in the rain whenever we're home.

Absolutely I would!

yep, we go out even when it's pouring. With rain gear if we are going for a walk, just regular clothes if we're playing in the backyard. We get soaked then come inside for hot drinks and a long warm bath. I feel like getting wet is part of the fun! If it's cold we don't last long but it's still worth it.

@Boogs: Oh! I didn't even think about that! I was thinking about regular like sidewalk concrete. I can imagine the sealer would be super slippery!

Yes! My twin boys are extremely active and drive me nuts if they stay inside too long. We don't go out for too long, but 20-30 minutes of splashing in puddles in their rain boots seems to give them a good night's sleep! If it's warm then we let them play in the backyard with mud and shovels.

Usually not in the yard, b/c I'm kind of mud-phobic.

But when we lived in Brooklyn we frequently took "puddle stomp" walks in our rain gear, particularly if they'd been cooped up for more than a day. I'll probably do the same here when it warms up a bit!
