I had a d&c on Tuesday, felt great on Weds, started having spotting yesterday and a little cramping but really mild. Last night I started having what I can only call butt cramps. They are these spasms every so often in/around my anus. They are awful! I'm taking ibuprofen but it's not doing anything to touch these. Has anyone experienced these? I've had these maybe once before so maybe they're not even d&c related? I don't know, but they hurt like a B!

Have you tried to take Motrin? I'm sorry, I never experienced that.

@T.H.O.U.: I was thinking of asking DH to get some motrin or midol maybe to see if that would help. I don't know if it's any different than regular ibuprofen. I'm scared to leave the house in fear of having one of these in public!

I have never experienced these. Is there a chance they are stress related? I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.

No advice but hope you're better soon. Maybe call your ob to ask if it's normal?

@abbydabbydoodlebug: i hope so! I just hopped on google and it looks pretty common but I'd call if it continues. Maybe they'll have some advice on what you can do to help. So sorry for your loss!

Yikes! I'd call the OB and inquire. I'm sorry you had to go through the D&C process and now this.

@Alivoo01: thanks, it really does suck that I'm having to deal with this now too. DH works from home today so if I need help if it acts up again, he can help me with DD. So far, it's been fine, so I'm hoping it's mostly gone now. Definitely going to keep up with my ibuprofen just in case!

I'm sorry for your loss - not sure about the cramping but I do hope it settles. Could be tension related? I know I had a whole lot of strange feelings after mine, perhaps this is how your body is coping.

It went pretty good! I had 1 cramp/spasm tonight, but none otherwise. Tmi alert: I was thinking about it and I'm thinking maybe I was constipated? I am usually regular so it didn't even occur to me that maybe I didn't go for a couple days. I honestly can't even remember with all that's been going on. Can't believe I'm even saying all this, lol. But I'm sure we've all been there at some point.
At any rate, I'm feeling OK today and I'm glad those butt cramps are over! Lol

@abbydabbydoodlebug: I'm glad to hear you are doing a bit better, those sounded awful! I believe surgery in general can make you a bit constipated, so that could be it.
