LO has been potty trained for over a week now and she's doing great. We don't really have accidents (except in the situation I describe below) unless we just don't quite make it in time but she is good about telling me she has to go and holding it as well as she can. We have even gotten past our poop holding issue somewhat. She has pooped in the potty a few times but she still usually goes in her pull-up at nap time, too.

The main problem we are having at this point is accidents in the car seat. I will wait to go somewhere until she has her first big morning pee usually an hour or two after waking up. She will stay dry in the car and then we will pee upon arriving and upon leaving every place we go. But without fail on the drive home, she will pee in her car seat - even if she peed 10 minutes earlier.

She always tells me, "Pee pee in the potty, no pee pee in my car seat," and the first few times I panicked and tried to pull over but she had already gone. So, I guess this is bad but now I don't really try to stop. We are usually on the highway or a main road so I just say, "You're right - pee pee goes in the potty. Try to hold it in until we get home and you can pee pee in the potty." But I know that she's already peed.

I really hope the answer to this is not that we need to stay home or that we can't go out for longer than like 30 minutes because that is just not realistic. She needs to get out of the house as much as I do. We have to drive 10-15 minutes to most things and some things like the children's museum today are longer drives than that, but I think it is worth it.

We did OCPT so I need to re-read what she says about accidents. I feel like she would say that this is "behavior" since LO has always just peed, but I don't want to do anything to give her a complex.
